Our FEA swimmers are back from a very successful Short Course Grand Prix that was held at the Generations pool in Somerset West this past weekend.
Amongst them there were a total of 29 PB''s
This in itself is a remarkable result.
To add to this there were also new records swam by Isabeau, Elke and Carlo
Isabeau: 3 WC SC records in 50, 100 and 200 back
4 Eden SC records in 200 free, 100 back, 200 back and 100 fly
Elke:5 Eden SC records 50 back, 200 back, 100 IM, 50 breast and 100 breast
Carlo: 2 Eden SC records: 200 back and 50 free
We are extremely proud of these swimmers and of course of their coach Dirco Nienaber that has led the team in order for them to achieve these remarkable results.
We are looking forward to the next gala on the agenda, Eden Short Course Champs that will be held on the 12th and 13th of September in Knysna

2026 PEA Winter Gala Update 🏊‍♀️💙

It is with great disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of our 2026 PEA Winter Gala.

Due to the ongoing renovations at Newton Park Swimming Pool, the pool is unfortunately not expected to reopen until closer to the end of the year. As much as we were looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the pool, these circumstances are unfortunately beyond our control.

While we are sad that our 2026 gala won’t be going ahead, we are already looking ahead with excitement! 💙
