The friendly community that comes together at this event makes the Jacaranda Run™ so special.
Our Marshals are all runners who live in Linden, our Water Points are managed by residents of the areas you run through, and our supporters will clap and urge you on when you need it most.

Come and experience the warm and friendly community of Linden on 17 October when you walk our 5km and run our 10/21km routes. Be prepared to be greeted with wide smiles and a great atmosphere all along the course. You might even consider moving here when you are done!

Make sure you grab your friends and start your training for the 2026 Jacaranda Run™ on 17 October. A reminder that this is not a formal race, but a fun community running event. We recommend you look at the course profiles on our website and align your training to the distance and the elevation you will do on the day.

But most importantly, get your entries in! We cap our race at 400 runners, so do not miss out!

For our 7th Edition of Jacaranda Run™ we have opted for our purple flowers, but also to pay homage to our lush green parks, the lawns of Linden Bowling Club, and our signature lime green Linden Runner club kit. Each runner will receive a pair of NeonDreams sox in their goodie bag. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Our 2026 JACARANDA RUN Entries are now OPEN!!! No Ballot, no online queue, no hidden costs, no ocean to cross, just glorious Jacaranda trees lining the streets of Linden. This is a community event, and we invite all our residents and families to come join the fun!

It's been a cold winter, but here is your inspiration to dust off your running shoes and get back to training!

The official 2026 Jacaranda Run™ will take place on Saturday 17 October. This year, we decided to include a fun 5km walk so the whole community can take part.

We are yet to open the entries next week, but will keep you posted. More announcements will follow with information on a route change (it's time!), our 2026 Sox reveal, and some exciting news on partnerships for our event.

Share with your running mates and communities, and pick a goal distance to train for.

It’s the week we have been preparing for, League 1 of the 2026 CGA Track & Field Season is here.⏳

Early mornings, hard sessions, and sacrifices all lead to this moment. Step onto the track with confidence, trust your training, and compete with heart. Every stride, every throw, every jump counts.

Entries for League 1 are still open and will close on Tuesday, 27 January 2026. Here is the entry link for league 1:

The entry fee for athletes is R40 and R50 for Spectators. Temporary License will be available at R 30. All athletes must have two valid 2025 or 2026 ASA license numbers (a 2025 permanent license will only be accepted for the 1st League).

Just a quick reminder that our Weekly Time Trials will commence from next week Wednesday 21 Jan 2026.
We start at 17.45 and offer marked 3/5/8km routes. Refer to our website for maps and info.

All you need to know for the 2025 JACARANDA RUN™
We are super excited to host you all, get your outfit planning done and lace your running shoes. It's going to be EPIC!

An information mailer will be sent by Howler, so check your inboxes tomorrow morning.

Registration tomorrow night from 5-7pm at the Linden Bowling Club. Again on Saturday morning from 5-5:50am, but we recommend you come through tomorrow instead.

*Note: no bulk entry collections. We need each runner to collect their numbers, sign the indemnity, and collect their Goodie bag.

This is our 6th year of hosting this amazing event and we have given many gifts instead of medals. Which ones have been your favorite? How many of you will have collected all 3 sets of Jacaranda Run socks after Saturday?
