July started with a bang 🌧️⛈️

Building. Planting seeds before the rain.
Pulling out vines. Building water troughs.
Smashing down parts of the house.

Chaotic? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.
Through it all, the horses stay happy, fed, and front and center 🐴❤️

New month, new mess, same mission.

From weaning the next generation,
to backing some really super horses,
to watching older horses come to rest and actually enjoy their holiday...

My roses are going in the ground, more stunning shelters + paddocks are going up,
and every day the difference is more visible.

What a busy 2 weeks! ✨

The farm is really coming to life:

🚧 More paddocks finished
🏠 Beautiful paddock shelters up
🌱 Planting started
🏡 More stables built + our house finally looking like a house

What a busy and exciting weekend. you did not disappoint. Fantastic 10km run and then seconding for and in the 42km. What a privilege to see run past us, was magical

Went for a walk around the farm this morning and it felt like magic.
The vines are showing off their winter colours right now, and the whole place looks unreal.
Even better - I met the horses and riders out on their ride and a little farther on was a herd of eland, springbuck and zebra out grazing. Not a bad way to start the day.
