Pacaltsdorp Stallions Basketball

07/09/2026

For the past four years, we have been trying to bring basketball closer to home in Pacaltsdorp.

Four years of effort.
Four years of showing up.
Four years of trying to create opportunities for young people.
Four years of believing that our community deserves access to basketball.

But the reality is that it has not been easy.

One of our biggest challenges has always been access to a suitable basketball facility in Pacaltsdorp. While there are young people who want to play, train and develop, we have had to travel to Denneoord just to practise.

And we do not simply arrive there and play.

We have to organise transport. We have to make the trip. We have to give up our time. We have to cover expenses ourselves. We have continued to put in the work because we believe the young people of Pacaltsdorp deserve an opportunity.

We have tried to build despite the challenges.

But we cannot continue waiting for someone else to create the opportunity for us.

So we decided to take action ourselves.

Our Back a Buddy Campaign is about taking the first step towards bringing basketball closer to our community.

We are raising R20,000 to purchase two portable basketball hoops.

Two hoops would allow us to start building our Stallions Junior Basketball Programme and give young players the opportunity to train, learn and develop without always having to travel outside of the community.

This is bigger than Stallions.

This is about the children who live here.

It is about giving them something positive to be part of.

It is about creating a place where they can develop discipline, confidence, teamwork and a love for the game.

We have already invested four years of our time, energy and our own resources trying to make this work.

Now we are asking our community to help us take the next step.

You do not have to donate thousands.

R50 matters. R100 matters. R200 matters. Every contribution matters.

And if you cannot donate, you can still help.

What if one basketball could change a young person’s life?

Basketball teaches more than how to score.

It teaches discipline when you don’t feel like training.

It teaches teamwork when you can’t win alone.

It teaches resilience when you miss the shot.

It teaches young people to believe that they can become better than they were yesterday.

This is why we want to start our Stallions Junior Basketball Programme.

But we need equipment.

Two portable hoops can give more young people the opportunity to get on court and develop.

Help us raise R20,000.

LET’S BRING BASKETBALL HOME TO PACALTSDORP! 💛🖤❤️

Basketball is more than a sport. It is an opportunity. It is a safe space. It is friendship, discipline, confidence and a chance for young people to dream bigger.

Stallions Basketball is launching our Back a Buddy Campaign to raise R20,000 for two portable basketball hoops — helping us build and grow our junior basketball programme right here in Pacaltsdorp.

We want to give our children access to proper basketball facilities, regular training and opportunities to develop their skills and their character.

🏀 One hoop can create a court.
👊 A court can create a team.
🌱 A team can change a life.

Whether you can give R50, R100, R500 or simply share this campaign, you are helping us bring basketball closer to the children of Pacaltsdorp.

Back a Buddy. Back a Dream. Back the Future.

📲 Support the campaign and help Stallions put two hoops where they belong — in the hands of our community.

BACK A BUDDY: TWO HOOPS, ONE FUTURE

Every young basketball player deserves a chance to learn, play and dream.

Stallions Basketball Club is raising funds to purchase 2 portable basketball hoops so we can launch our Junior Basketball Programme in Pacaltsdorp.

These won’t just be hoops.

They’ll be where young players learn their first crossover.
Where they make their first shot.
Where they learn discipline and teamwork.
Where friendships are formed.
Where dreams begin.

❤️ Our goal: R20,000

You can help us get there:

R50 | R100 | R200 | R500 | R1,000+

Every contribution brings us closer.

And if you can’t donate, share this post. You might reach the person who can help us put the first two hoops on the court.

🎯 100 people × R200 = R20,000

BACK A BUDDY. BUILD A FUTURE.

Our Story Every basketball journey starts somewhere. For some players, it starts in a schoolyard. For others, it’s a friend handing them a basket...

23/07/2026

Every journey starts with a dream, but dreams only become reality when a community stands behind them.

Our Stallions Basketball Club has been given the incredible opportunity to tour Cape Town, where our players will compete, learn and represent the Garden Route with pride. For many of our athletes, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a chance to grow both on and off the court.

To help make this tour possible, we’re hosting a Braai & Slaai Fundraiser, and we need your support.

Every plate you buy does more than provide a delicious meal – it helps cover transport, accommodation and tour expenses for young players who have worked tirelessly to earn this opportunity.

Your support is an investment in local youth. It gives our players hope, confidence and the chance to prove that talent from our community belongs on bigger stages.

💛 Braai & Slaai: R100 per plate

Whether you purchase a meal, sponsor a player or simply share this post, you are helping us take one step closer to Cape Town.

Thank you for believing in our players, our club and our vision. Together, we can make this dream a reality.

Not the finish we wanted but far from the end.

The Stallions took 2nd place at the Eden District Club Championship and punched our ticket to the Western Cape Provincial Championship in May.

We’ll be back better, stronger & hungrier.

“Growth lives on the other side of failure.”🐎🖤💛
