East Cape Champs

The 2025 ECC was a highlight filled fitness festival, with athletes from scaled level to elite level, participating in an adrenaline fueled competition. When the countdown stops, it's GO time!!

Massive thank you our sponsors who supported us, our officials (we coudn't do it without you!) and our competitors, who are the reason for the comp! The functional fitness flag was flown high by all involved.

The opening workout of the 2025 kicked off in style, with the scaled, intermediate and RX athletes going hard out of the starting blocks with Event 1: Always Fit League's Got Skills.

AMRAP the following for 3 Rnds:

1 min – Handstand Obstacle Walk (over bumpers @ 3m, pirouette, Return weave walk 1,2,3,4,5,6m)

1 min – 3 Pistols per side (no foot touch down)

1 min – Double Under Cross Overs

1 min – Legless Rope Climb (3.7m) – M – from sitting / F – from sitting

1 min – Rest

Score = Total Reps

Spectators and competitors were greeted by a rearranged CrossFit Algoa box with 6 lanes for competitors, nutrition by First Choice High Protein and shirts by RVCA, who also hosted a pop-up shop. Athletes pushed hard to post good times in the individual and team workouts.

Good workouts and new friendship are still fresh in the memory of our competitors, officials and spectators. Looking ahead to the 2026 ECC, we will build on what was done and aim to make it bigger.
