Congratulations to Max Gill on reaching 50 senior games for the Vikings this weekend!

Since returning to Happy Valley a few seasons ago, Max has been a pivotal part of the success of our senior program. His leadership, commitment and willingness to put the team first has been outstanding, both on the field and off it.

Max also plays a really important role in helping shape the next generation of Vikings. As an assistant coach with our U17.5s, he has quickly become a great influence on the group, helping develop the boys and prepare them for the step into senior football next year.

That connection between our senior program and our younger players is so important, and Max is a great example of someone who gives back while still contributing at senior level.

50 senior games is a fantastic milestone and one that deserves to be celebrated.

Everyone around the club knows Ports and knows just how hard he has worked to become a mainstay of our senior program.

Ports has played a variety of roles over the years and has always been willing to do whatever the team has needed. More recently, he has found himself locking down a wing position in our undefeated B Grade side, and he has really made the position his own.

He’s a tough, hard-working in-and-under player who never takes a backward step
every time he pulls on the jumper.

More importantly, Ports is a great clubman and someone who is a big part of the future of the HVFC senior program.

Congratulations Ports — well deserved mate. 🖤💛

🏉This weekend at the Valley🏉

It’s a big weekend this weekend as we take on the Emus for our last Saturday home games for the season!

Our U14 girls will be playing straight after the A Grade at 5.15pm on Saturday so stick around and support our girls as they too take on the Emus!

It’s also our Hall of Fame Day, so we are looking forward to inducting 4 new very deserving Viking Legends to an already elite list of special people!

And if all of the above is not enough…. We are hosting the U11 Sub-Junior carnival on Sunday which will be a fun day for all!

🟡⚫️ Sub-Junior Presentation Day ⚫️🟡

Sadly Sub-Junior Football is coming to an end for this season 😔

But with the U11 Carnival at HVFC this weekend and the Sub-Junior Preso day happening next weekend, let’s finish off with a couple of days of fun and celebration for what has been another awesome year of footy!

The Executive and Management would like to thank everyone that has contributed to the Sub-Junior program this year, especially Katie Allen, the Coaches and support volunteers who make everything possible to put smiles on the kids faces and ensure they get to play footy!

Thanks also to all of our Sub-Junior families and of course to all our young Valley Vikings! No matter what team you play for we are one big family of Vikings and couldn’t be prouder of you all!

A massive congratulations to Jayce Potter and Dale Shearer on being selected in the 2026 SANFL U17 Futures Squad.

This is a fantastic achievement and a great reward for the hard work, commitment and development both boys have shown throughout their football.

To have two of our own Vikings recognised at this level is something the whole club can be extremely proud of.

Congratulations Pott and Shez enjoy the opportunity, represent yourselves, your families and Happy Valley Football Club with pride, and most importantly, keep enjoying your footy.
