A huge congratulations to Riley on earning Player of the Match for the Kookaburras Lilac team!

Riley had an outstanding game in defence against a strong opposition, showing determination and confidence throughout the match. She secured numerous intercepts, made some fantastic drives to the ball, and consistently put herself in the right position to support her team.

It has been wonderful to see Riley's growth since the beginning of the season. She has worked her way through a variety of defensive positions, developing her skills and understanding of the game each week. Her hard work and commitment are really shining through on court.

🏐 Meet Our Teal Team Coach – El Low! 🩵

The Kookaburras Teal Team is fortunate to be led by Coach El Low, whose lifelong passion for sport has seen her achieve success both on the court and on the sidelines.

El’s sporting journey began in basketball, where she played for the Mansfield Eagles at a representative level before moving into coaching and helping develop young players and teams.

Her love for netball saw her play with several clubs throughout Victoria, including Mansfield Eagles, Bonnie Doon, and later Imperials in Mildura. El also proudly played in the Ovens and King Netball League, competing at a representative level and further developing her experience and understanding of the game.

With a strong belief in teamwork, resilience, growth, and creating a positive environment where players can thrive, El brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Teal Team.

“I am incredibly proud to be coaching this talented group of 15–17-year-olds and I’m excited to support, challenge, and guide them throughout the season.”

We’re thrilled to have El leading the way and look forward to watching both her and the Teal Team continue to grow and achieve great things this year.

A huge congratulations to Winter on being named Agnes Water Kookaburras Lilac Team’s Player of the Match!

Winter gave her all in both attack and defence, showing outstanding determination and teamwork throughout the game. Her excellent front cuts, strong passing, and ability to bring the ball down the court created great opportunities for her team. She also had numerous intercepts and played a key role in creating turnovers, helping her team gain valuable possession.

Well done, Winter – your hard work, skill, and all-round effort were fantastic to watch! 💜🩵

A huge congratulations to Alicia on being awarded Player of the Match! 🌟

Alicia brought creativity and determination to every quarter, making smart cuts and strong drives to create options and support the attacking end. Despite facing a physical opponent, she remained composed and competitive, using her strength and game awareness to make an impact all over the court.

Defensively, Alicia was fierce and consistent, working tirelessly to shut down her player while always making herself available as an option for her teammates. Her commitment, effort and team-first attitude were outstanding throughout the game.

⭐️ Sarah Bellchambers 🏐Sarah showed incredible determination, standing up strongly to the physicality of her opponents all game long. Her shooting accuracy was outstanding with a high percentage conversion rate, while her exceptional follow-up work on rebounds created valuable second-chance opportunities for the team. Her movement inside the circle continues to improve each week, building a fantastic dynamic and connection with her GA. A well-deserved Player of the Match performance! 🔥
⭐️ Layla Dickson 🏐 Last Saturday’s Player of the Match goes to Layla for her intelligent and composed game under pressure. Layla led the team with wise decision-making and a calm level head throughout the match. Her dynamic, strong leads created opportunities all over the court, and she held her ground brilliantly against an extremely physical and tough opposition. An outstanding display of grit, leadership and smart netball 💪🏐

A huge congratulations to Sophie T for taking out this week’s Player of the Match and winning the Round Hill Road Pizza voucher! 🍕💜

Sophie showed incredible growth in resilience throughout the game, with switched-on anticipation play and the ability to adapt seamlessly across numerous positions — playing each one with strength and determination.

To top it off, Sophie did a stellar job leading the Lilac team as this Week’s Captain, setting a fantastic example for her teammates both on and off the court.

Congratulations to Ally Spicer, who has been awarded Player of the Match for last Saturday’s game against Alloway Orange!
While the result didn’t go Lilac’s way against a tough Alloway Orange side, Ally put in a standout performance in defence that had everyone talking. Her reading of the game was exceptional, pulling off intercept after intercept and showing incredible determination from the first whistle to the last. Ally’s never-give-up attitude was an inspiration to the whole team.
