It was an honour to receive over 30 nominations for the Albany Business Awards this year. I have added only 4 of the nominations to show you the wonderful feedback about the Studio:
"Move over energizer bunny, Antonia is here. The best thing I have done was to join Antonia's Dance Studio; it's a place that brings so much joy & laughter & meeting new people. Antonia has so much energy it's infectious & has us in fits of laughter throughout classes. She's a wonderful teacher with so much patience. She provides a range of dances, line dancing, teaching classes & private lessons & brings it together on a Friday night for social dancing where we can practise & have lots of fun. She also supports the community doing dance demonstrations for various places & events. There's a beautiful energy in both Antonia & her dance studio that lifts a person up as soon as you step in the room, you can't help but smile, you're always made yo feel welcome. I would recommend anyone to come along if they want to have a fun filled time & meet new people, make new friends." (Deb Terry). "In a world where isolation & loneliness is common, Antonia's Dance Studio is a refreshing change. Antonia has managed to build this business from scratch & in so doing has brought strangers together who became friends. As a teacher, she is highly skilled, knows her craft well yet conveys the precision in an absolutely delightful manner. Fun, laughter & learning...the best" (Aishya Mason)
"Antonia's Dance Studio is a boutique dance environment for social dancing, private & group lessons. The studio boasts a sprung dance, excellent sound system, a stage for bands, good parking, security lighting, kitchen and bathroom amenities. The Studio holds social dancing every Friday night with contemporary music as well as hosting theme nights, high tea event, fund raising events, visiting dance instructors & demonstrations. Antonia is a highly skilled dancer & instructor who brings lots of fun to lessons. Anyone looking to take up dancing as a new hobby should consider Antonia's Dance Studio as the perfect venue to begin their dance journey." (Malcolm Webb). "The reasons I am nominating Antonia's Dance Studio as Albany's Small Business of the Year award are: It is a true dance venue, the decor immediately puts you in the mood for dancing combined with a modern sound system connected to a video screen to assist students. Antonia's style of teaching leaves no one in any doubt about the steps and her patience is amazing. My personal benefits from attending are many: at 77 years I'm as fit as I've ever been, great for mind stimulation and as the music starts, I enter into a world of my own. Meeting new faces has extended my social contacts, plus I enjoy the feeling of always being welcomed." (Don Titterton).
