This is the part no one tells you about when we dream of lovely arenas to ride on. The maintenance. From the watering, digging in the edges (not every time), sweeping sand back in off the edges and the raking at sundown to the finished product. Every week and sometimes multiple times a week depending on the amount of use. We absolutely love our arena, just need a maintenance fairy 🧚♂️ 🤣

Evie went home this week after just over 6 months of rehab. Evie arrived here for after vet care from WestVETS Equine Hospital after going through 2 colic surgeries. The team there did a great job at saving her life and such a neat incision a scar can barely be seen. With guidance from our vet Adrianna we got this mare back on track. From the early days of vital checks and bandage checks and changes to in hand walks, yard and then paddock turnout to first rides its been a huge journey. We are delighted that Evie is back to full health and fitness for her owner Lisa Bernier to enjoy. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely mare who we will miss lots 😘

When it rains it pours with horses 🤦♀️ 2 fences down, snapped split post and 1 very sore horse later. Harry obviously didn't believe me when I said he can have a break after the holidays so he made sure it happened. 😭😭
