🎉 150 VNL Games for Meg Williams! 🎉
They say home is where the heart is, and for Bendigo Strikers foundation Championship player Meg Williams, that couldn't be more true.
This Wednesday night, Meg will celebrate a remarkable milestone, taking the court for her 150th Victorian Netball League game when the Strikers face Melbourne University Lightning at the State Netball Centre.
A proud Bendigo product, Meg's VNL journey has spanned 10 seasons across two clubs. Before joining the Strikers as a foundation player in 2024, she spent seven successful seasons with North East Blaze, where she was part of their 2019 Division One Premiership team, earned selection in the 2018 VNL Under 19 Team of the Year, and progressed into Championship-level netball.
When the Bendigo Strikers entered the VNL in 2024, Meg answered the call to return home and help build something special. Not only was she a foundation Championship player, but she also had the honour of serving as the club's inaugural Championship captain, helping establish the culture and standards that continue to drive the program today.
Meg's leadership, dedication and passion for the Strikers have made a lasting impact both on and off the court, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with her.
Congratulations Meg on 150 VNL games – a fantastic achievement and one that reflects years of hard work, resilience and commitment to the sport. 💙💛
