South Eastern Senior Pennant Round 3 at Patterson River ⛳

Round 3 was our home match played in great conditions, the course was looked superb and attracted many positive comments from the visiting teams, particularly the greens.

We had a good 6/4 win led by Jason Harrington playing at 1 winning 8/7; Andrew Collison at 2 won 5/4; Graeme Horne at 4 won 4/3; Wayne Wallis at 5 won 7/6; Darrin Thomas at 7 won 4/3 and Michael Welsford at 7 won 5/4.
Peter Warren lost a tight match 2/1 as did Mark Sweeney, Tony Derek also lost a tight match 1 down.

Overall a very good performance. Thanks also to member & professional photographer Graeme Diggle who took great shots of the team during the round. ✨

🍷⛳ What a way to kick off our Women at PRGC Women’s Summer Series! 💗

Yesterday, we launched our summer series of events with our Sip & Sink event, and what a success it was! 🥂

The Women enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of Around the Clock, Longest Putt and Putt Knockout, with congratulations to Annette, Kerri, Linda and Lynsey on taking home the prizes! 🏆👏

Everyone was welcomed with a complimentary w**e and cheese platter - the perfect recipe for a fabulous afternoon of golf, laughter and connection. 🧀🍷

The best part? Everyone had such a wonderful time that we’re already hearing excitement about the next event - Chip and Sip! 💕

Because this is what it’s all about — women connecting, friendships growing and creating a beautiful golfing community together. 💗

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first event such a success. We can’t wait to do it all again!

Congratulations to Xavier Walmsley and Lily Bourne, our 2026 Junior Scholarship Award recipients, who will have their 2027 membership fees covered in full. 👏⛳

We also congratulate Baxter Quirk, Fletcher Galloway, Cooper Fox, Monty Wilson, Oliver Streat and Hunter Franklin, who have each received $100 towards golf equipment, shoes or coaching lessons.

Our Junior Scholarship Program recognises effort, commitment and a genuine willingness to learn, improve and stay engaged with the Club. We are proud to support the next generation of golfers and look forward to watching all eight juniors continue to develop both on and off the course.

🎉 AN INCREDIBLE ACHIEVEMENT – 95 YEARS YOUNG! ⛳

A huge congratulations to our longstanding Member Brian Murphy, who achieved something truly remarkable today — shooting his age of 95!

Brian has been a proud Member of Patterson River Golf Club for nearly 59 years, making this achievement even more special.

To still be out on the course, enjoying the game and shooting 95 at 95 years of age is simply amazing. What an incredible effort and a wonderful milestone!

Congratulations Brian — an inspiration to us all! 👏⛳💚

David joined Patterson River Golf Club in 2007, meaning he is fast approaching an incredible 20 years with the Club. Prior to joining us, David spent 10 years at Peninsula Country Club, now known as Peninsula Kingswood, giving him more than 46 years of experience in the turf and golf industry having started out as a 15 year old kid doing his apprenticeship at Rossdale Golf Club. Safe to say, he brings an extraordinary amount of knowledge, experience and passion to everything he does.
David, thank you for your nearly two decades of dedication to Patterson River Golf Club, for the incredible knowledge you bring to our course, and for everything you and your team do behind the scenes to present the course for our members each and every day.
