Bordertown Golf Club The Bordertown Golf Club is a 18 hole course with Greens and fully watered fairways. The Club is celebrating 100 years this year.

Club day Saturday - hit off by 12pm
Current Captain's phone numbers available on our website for further confirmation. It is situated 7 km from the main township of Bordertown. A current membership of around 150 members. The course was cut out of malley scrub and boasts lots of wildlife including a family of kangaroos that graze on the lush fairways. A very testing course, not long but with accuracy being the aim. Well know to be one of best courses in the South East of South Australia.

Dion Sippel 43pts 🥇 keeps his superb form going to win the day comfortably 👏🏻 Pa Barras 40pts 🥈 has found a nice bit of consistency to finish runner up 🤝 Peter Johnson 37pts 🥉 finished in 3rd ( must’ve played off the orange markers 🤭 ) Sam Barras 37pts was the best of the rest 🤜🏼🤛🏼

Well I'm not quite sure what happened at the Bordertown Golf Club today but it was obviously very difficult conditions for the 14 ladies (well 13 had hard conditions and 1 was obviously on a completely different course 🤣🤣). It was a Stableford Rd and the 4th President's Rd sponsored by Ruby Tuesday.
Div 1 Winner was Carleen Leach 29pts and R/up Fran Guy with 27pts.
Div 2 Winner (the only score in the 30's for the day!!) was Rebecca Wiese 39pts 😲😲👏👏 and R/up was Liz Hampel 29pts.

Perfect day for golf & with a field of 24 players enjoying being back on the full course 👌🏻
I had the pleasure of watching today’s winner Josh “Golly” Barras 43pts 🥇 (66 off the stick) which included 7 birdies, 2 bogeys & 9 pars 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Peter Johnson 39pts 🥈 was today’s runner up & starting to get a bit of his form back 🤝 Peter Barras 35pts 🥉 was the best of the rest 👍🏽

Today was our ladies open day - the Women’s Triple Classic. 52 ladies from across the south east played in this fun but challenging pairs competition. The format was stableford, with holes 1-6 being best score of the pair, 7-12 was stableford addition and holes 13-18 was stableford multiplication.

Thank you to Sonia Winter and her team at My Tax Accountant for sponsoring this event again this year - we really appreciate it.

Thank you to our grounds volunteers for getting the full course in great shape ready to play today. Thank you also to Bink and other volunteers for the amazing food throughout the day.

The winners of the day were a local pair, Stacey Hinge and Andrea Lutt with 65 points. 👏

Runners up were Kirsty Bailey and Mary Winser of Millicent with 64 points on a count back from third place local pair Denise Rowett and Bec Wiese (also 64 points). 👏👏

Fourth place went to Kas Jarrett and (former local) Kerrie Edwards 56 points.

Yesterdays men’s stableford had 26 players & still on composite course.
Club legend Baz Turnbull 39pts 🥇 was the winner of the day 🤝 runner up Peter Johnson 38 pts 🥈 ( not in the legend category 🤣 ) also had a good day out 👍🏽 Josh Barras 38pts 🥉played beautifully to finish in 3rd 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Peter Dahlitz 37pts & John Fenwick 37pts round out all the good scores!
