🟡⚫ O45 MASTERS — A PROUD FINALS CAMPAIGN

A huge congratulations to our Bayside United O45 Masters, who took on Slacks Creek in their semi-final on Friday night.

Reaching the semi-finals is a fantastic achievement, particularly for a group who have represented Bayside United with plenty of commitment, character and as always a healthy amount of banter.

Congratulations to Slacks Creek on progressing to the grand final. We wish you all the very best for the big one!

A special shoutout and a very big thank you to Domino’s Manly West, who looked after both teams with a mountain of pizzas after the game. It was an incredible show of community support, and very much appreciated by everyone involved.

The smell of pizza was almost enough to drown out the smell of deep heat…

Almost.

That deep heat was strong. Seriously strong. 😅

Thank you, Domino’s, for supporting our players and helping make the night such a great example of what grassroots football is all about: good competition, good people and sharing a feed together after the final whistle.

Please join us in congratulating our O45 Masters on a fantastic season.

🟡⚫ Proud to be Bayside.

🟡⚫ GRAND FINAL WEEKEND — WHAT A WAY TO REPRESENT BAYSIDE

What a weekend for our Bayside United junior teams.

Five teams walked onto the grand-final stage, and every one of them represented our club with courage, commitment and pride. They fought hard, backed each other and showed the character that makes Bayside United such a special place to belong.

🏆 Our Grand Final Winners

U13 Division 4 Boys
A fantastic 1–0 victory — congratulations, boys!

U13 Division 3 BUDS
A thrilling 3–2 win after extra time. What a finish and what an effort!

💛 Our Grand Finalists

U15 Girls
Went down fighting 1–3 after giving everything until the final whistle.

U17 Girls
Showed incredible grit and strength from start to finish, going down 1–3.

U14 Boys
Lost in a nail-biting penalty shootout after an outstanding grand-final battle.

To our players, coaches, managers and families: you should be incredibly proud. Winning is special, but so is the hard work, resilience, sportsmanship and togetherness that got every team to a grand final in the first place.

Congratulations to our winners, and a huge well done to every Bayside United team that took part. You have represented our club brilliantly, and we are proud that you are part of the Bayside family.

🟡⚫ Five grand finalists. Two champions. One very proud club.

🏆 GRAND FINAL SATURDAY
This is what it’s all about.

Two of our Bayside United junior teams will take to the field at Nudgee Recreation Reserve on Saturday, and we would love to see plenty of yellow and black on the sidelines supporting them.

🟡⚫ BAYSIDE UNITED TAKES ON THE COOLUM CUP! ⚽

This Saturday, 19 September, two of our Bayside United Walking Football regulars will be representing the Over 70s at the Sunshine Coast Walking Football Festival, including the Coolum Cup at Coolum Beach.

A huge good luck to David Dancey and Noel Eastwood, they’re both Baysiders and yes, they’re both taking on the Over 70s competition! 💛

There are four teams competing in the Over 70s division for the illustrious Coolum Cup, alongside Over 50s, Over 60s, women’s and mixed competitions. Teams play six-a-side, with three simple rules: no running, no tackling and no high balls.

David will be in goals, so he should be safely within the rules. As for the rest of the team, there may be a little work to do on the “no running” part, especially from one particularly enthusiastic offender! 😄

The team will be managed by Siggy Nowak, with the weekend bringing together Walking Football players from across the region for what promises to be a fantastic celebration of football, friendship and staying active.

The Australian Walking Football Seventies (AWFS) works to connect players in their seventies who are actively participating in Walking Football across Australia, share opportunities and information, and identify talented players who may represent the national 70+ team internationally.

So let’s get behind David, Noel and the Walkeroos team. Whether they bring home the gold or simply enjoy a brilliant weekend of football, they’re already representing Bayside United with pride.

Good luck, guys, keep walking, keep smiling and try not to run! 💛⚽

Friday Night — O45 Masters Semi-Final
🟡⚫ ONE LAST HOME FINALS NIGHT

Our Over 45 Masters are the only Bayside United team playing at home this weekend and they’re playing for a place in the grand final.

⚽ Semi-Final
Bayside United Over 45s v Slacks Creek Over 45s
📅 Friday 18 September
⏰ 6:30pm
📍 Don Randall Oval, Lota — Field 2

Let's show up for the guys! They have represented Bayside United all season, and they deserve to feel the support of their club behind them.

The canteen will be open for cold drinks, and the bar will be open from around 6:30pm.

Our major sponsor Domino’s Manly West will be looking after the team with post-match pizzas. If you’re ordering dinner, please consider supporting the business that supports our club.

Bring the family, bring the noise and give our O45s the home support they deserve.
Let’s get behind the boys.

🟡⚫ We believe.
