Blue headed out for his first trail ride with us today, getting ready for our High Country adventure next week! 🤎

He was such a good boy, taking everything in his stride and making the ride an absolute pleasure. The more we get to know him, the happier we are with our purchase—his lovely nature and willing temperament make him such a special addition to our team.

We can’t wait to hit the High Country trails with our beautiful Barbie pony! 🤎

Dino’s first outing today, and what an absolute gentleman he was! 🤎

Our beautiful Standardbred gelding stands at around 16.3–17hh, and while he’s certainly a big boy, he has the gentlest nature. He was insanely quiet today, taking everything in his stride and showing us just what a lovely temperament he has.

We believe Dino will be ready to find his new home very shortly. We already have a couple of people on our shortlist to get in touch with, and with his beautiful nature, we’re expecting this gentle giant to be snapped up very quickly! 🤎

🤎 NACHO — SOLD 🤎

Our handsome client pony Nacho has officially sold! It’s been a pleasure having this talented boy in our program, watching his progress and helping him take the next step towards his new home.

Priscilla and our lovely team member and rider, Rosa, enjoying golden hour together 🤎✨

Behind every horse at Brooklyn Ridge is so much love, attention and effort. From daily care and education to quiet moments like these, we put time into getting to know each horse and helping them feel comfortable, confident and cared for.

We’re so grateful to have a wonderful team behind us who share that dedication and treat the horses with kindness and patience. Their hard work means so much to us—and moments like these make it all worthwhile 🤎

Because everyone loves our very own Barbie pony, here are some snaps of Blue from today 🤎✨

We’re still getting to know this gorgeous boy, and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. Today he was faced with passing traffic and trucks flying past, taking it all in his stride and showing us his lovely temperament and kind nature.

There’s so much more to this golden boy than his good looks, and we’re loving having him as part of the Brooklyn Ridge team 🤎

FREDDY 🤎
•• Expressions of Interest welcome

15-year-old
OTT Thoroughbred gelding | 16.2hh

Freddy is a big, solid, eye-catching gelding with a substantial build and lovely presence. He is a very good doer who holds his condition well, with the size and substance that make him stand out.

Having spent nearly five weeks in our program, Freddy has had a couple of weeks under saddle with us and has proven quiet throughout his work, with no known vices. We have focused heavily on groundwork and establishing the basics under saddle, giving him a foundation to continue his education in his new home.

He is a blank canvas for an experienced rider looking for a horse to bring along and develop further.

Freddy retired sound and is easy to catch, float and manage for everyday handling.

His previous owner had him since he was three years old, making the decision to find him a new home an incredibly difficult one. Finding a suitable, caring home where he can begin his next chapter is our priority.

Experienced riders only. Freddy is still developing his education under saddle and will benefit from consistent work and clear guidance.

Asking $2,000 as is
Price will increase with work

Meet Polly 🤎

This lovely Standardbred filly has recently retired from racing and is ready to begin her next chapter. Racing wasn’t her calling, but we’re excited to see her develop into her new career under saddle.

Polly comes from our personal team of racehorses, so we already know her temperament and nature well. With her lovely, quiet disposition, she’ll certainly be one to follow as she progresses through our training program. 🤎

If you’re looking for a Standardbred with a quiet temperament, Polly is one to enquire about. We welcome early enquiries so we can discuss whether she could be a suitable match.

✨ Did you know you can secure a horse with a deposit while they complete our training program, with final payment due upon completion?

Some of our recent arrivals have been secured before they’ve even made it onto our sale page! If someone catches your eye, get in touch early to discuss securing your future partner. 🤎

Priscilla is quickly becoming the newest star and face of our Meet, Groom & Ride sessions! 🤎

Just look at that smile! Seeing the happiness these experiences bring to our little riders makes what we do so special.

This lovely little rider is a returning customer, and we always love welcoming familiar faces back to Brooklyn Ridge for more pony time and happy memories. Priscilla certainly knows how to make her visitors smile! 🤎

Sammy & Red’s first groundwork session 🤎

Our two client Standardbreds started their education with us today, focusing on building confidence and establishing the foundations for their journey under saddle.

Both boys are a little unsure of new and unfamiliar things, so we spent plenty of time on gentle desensitisation, allowing them to explore and process things at their own pace. We also introduced some basic groundwork cues to begin building clear communication and understanding.

Taking the time to establish these foundations is such an important part of their education. We’re looking forward to watching their confidence grow 🤎
