Ancient Eyes

I have spent the last week immersed in the Egypt chapters of my book, so it feels quite fitting that the Eye of Horus should become today’s reflection in the Third Eye journey.

Across millennia, the eye has emerged as one of humanity’s most enduring sacred symbols.

Within the Egyptian mystery traditions, the right and left eyes of Horus have been understood as complementary pathways of perception, inviting an integrated vision that restores balance and wholeness.

The Eye of Horus reminds us that true vision is not simply seeing more - it’s seeing with greater wholeness, where seemingly opposite perspectives become integrated into deeper understanding.

Perhaps this is why the symbol has endured for thousands of years.

It continues to invite us to ask the same timeless question:

What does it truely mean to see?

Seeing in the Dark

Sacred to Athena, goddess of wisdom, the owl reminds us that intelligence is more than knowledge; it is the ability to perceive clearly when the way ahead is uncertain.

The owl has appeared as a guide throughout my own journey, often arriving during periods of uncertainty and transformation. Each encounter reminded me to trust that my vision would deepen as I learned to navigate the darkness.

We spend so much of life trying to fill every silence

Yet the sky teaches something entirely different

Spaciousness is not emptiness at all

Perhaps it is what allows truth to arrive

Listening isn't passive.
It has its own movement.

Like water finding its own path through stone,
life continues to move beneath the surface
long before we understand where it is taking us.

The more I soften my grip, surrender control,
the more I discover that guidance has always been flowing,
beckoning me to follow.

The current was never absent.
Only unheard.

Clarity

The opaque powder-blue waters of Laguna Parón carry an extraordinary paradox.

The lake is impossibly luminous,
yet conceals its depths.

It reminded me that clarity isn't always transparency.
Sometimes clarity arrives when the need to see everything dissolves.

Standing beside these waters, I found myself wondering what crystalline frequency it holds.

Aquamarine... Turquoise... Hemimorphite...No...

My choice would be Gem Silica, where Chrysocolla becomes held within translucent quartz, creating a remarkable luminous blue. (some examples in pics)

Chrysocolla, found here in the Andes, has long been associated with receptivity, silence and the feminine current of wisdom. Yet when that same frequency becomes held within translucent crystal, something shifts.

A higher octave emerges. Not louder, just more luminous.

That was the feeling this lake evoked.

Whatever mineral language this body of water speaks, these impossibly blue waters seem to carry the medicine of both the Higher Heart and the Throat.

Not simply communication.
Not merely expression.

But the silence from which true expression arises.

A place that asks nothing of us.
It simply reveals what has been waiting beneath the surface.
