The World Pool-Billiard Association has officially announced Australia as a participating nation for the 2026 WPA Blackball World Championships in London.

This is another important step in strengthening international pathways for Australian players and continuing Australia’s involvement across the global cue sports landscape.

The World Pool Association proudly welcomes Australia as the next officially announced participating nation for the 2026 WPA Blackball World Championships.

Known for its competitive spirit and strong cuesports tradition, Australia is set to bring world-class talent and determination to one of the sport’s premier international events.

As the global Blackball community continues to grow, the championship promises an unforgettable gathering of nations, players, and fans from around the world.

Billiards has now been officially included as an invited sport at the 2026 South American Games in Argentina — another important step forward for global recognition.

There is clearly growing momentum around cue sports worldwide, as organisations continue working to strengthen the sport’s profile and long-term Olympic relevance heading toward Brisbane 2032 🤞

A reminder that a lot of important work continues behind the scenes internationally to grow and unify cue sports. 🎱

The World Pool Association proudly celebrates the official inclusion of Billiards as an invited sport at the South American Games Santa Fe 2026 in Argentina.

This milestone represents years of dedication from athletes, federations, officials, promoters, and the entire billiards community across the world. More importantly, it marks another major step toward the Olympic pathway and strengthens the sport’s position within the international multi-sport movement.

The road toward Lima 2027 and Brisbane 2032 continues.

The WPA extends sincere gratitude to ODESUR, the Argentine Olympic Committee, Santa Fe 2026 organizers, and all continental partners for their vision and support in making this historic achievement possible.

Together, we continue building the future of billiards.

All-QLD clash with -Hsia Hung, and it delivered 👏 Lilly led 8–4 before Bean fought back brilliantly to level at 8–8.

Lilly held her nerve to take the decider 🏆 A remarkable achievement in her first pool event of this discipline 👏
