Dare to Dance Canberra

Today marks 1 whole year without my Dad.

Dad was always such a cheerleader when it came to me following my dreams. He helped build our first studio, was always doing maintenance and even took the stage in our Dads dance.
In later years when he became unwell, he supported me from the sidelines. Always reminding me that we can do anything if we just try. Like it was no big deal.
This is something I definitely try and pass on to my students. Be calm, be kind and just try!

Holding Dads hand in his final breath was a blessing. I’m grateful he waited for me that day. I’m so sad you’re no longer earthside. But I’m glad you are no longer in pain.

Our minis did exceptionally well after having to completely changes their dances being down a team member who sadly broke her arm 😢
Miss Alison spent Friday evening re positioning and changing chorey and sent a million changes to Miss Emma to make the magic happen on Saturday. Miss Emma delivered! Very proud of Emma and the girls! To be honest the mums too as they were taking in all the changes and making sure their kids were all over it!


Great effort from our combined group, first time performing this routine and all together! Well done!

Your sections were so tough today and you showed some great improvement and strength. It was lovely watching you shine on stage after seeing how much effort you girls have been putting in. Well done!

Special mention to Miss Jess for her wonderful Amen routine. The adjudicator loved this dance! Thank you for making my vision of flowy skirt dance chorey to an absolute banger come to life.
Another shout out to Cara for choreographing the 10’s Jazz as part of her dance apprenticeship. The girls have loved having you teach them. You have worked very hard and showed so much maturity.
