The AIS. A uniquely Australian place. A place that cannot be found anywhere else in Australia. As Australia’s strategic high performance sport agency, the AIS is responsible for leading the delivery of Australia’s international sporting success. Throughout the year, the AIS also open its doors to over 200,000 visitors from around Australia and overseas. Only minutes from Canberra’s CBD and set amongst 65 hectares of campus-like grounds with plenty of free parking, the AIS offers an insight into Australia’s sporting past and a window into its’ future. It is an award-winning tourist attraction, sporting precinct and a major provider of all-inclusive school & sports group stays. Home to the AIS Arena, Aquatic Centre, Visitor Centre, Shop, Tours & cafe. Tours of the AIS for the general public operate Monday to Friday 10:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm. The AIS Shop is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. The online AIS Shop remains open at all times. The AIS cafe is open:
Monday- Friday 8.30am- 3:30pm
Saturday and Sunday’s – 9:30am- 2pm

🚨Event update - Canberra Brave vs. Sydney Ice Dogs🚨

Please be advised that’s tomorrow’s home opener will not proceed as scheduled.

The Canberra Brave team are currently working through next steps. For further information and updates, keep an eye out on Canberra Brave channels.

Next weekend’s scheduled AIHL fixtures against the Newcastle Northstars on 16 and 17 May are expected to proceed as planned.

🚨 Road Closure Updates this Sunday – Leverrier St & Masterman St 🚨

The AIS is excited to host the Canberra Kids Triathlon this Sunday, 19 April, promising a morning full of fun, and good energy!

Things to be aware of on the day:

🚗 Road closures
Leverrier Street and Masterman Street will be closed between 6am and 12pm, and used as part of the running and cycling course.

🏊 Aquatic Centre update
The 50m pool at the AIS Aquatic Centre will be closed to the public until 1pm, and used as the swimming course. The 25m pool will remain open as usual.

If you’re visiting the AIS on Sunday, please plan your trip to avoid road closures and allow extra time for travel.

To everyone attending and participating in the Kids Triathlon, we hope you have an amazing day!
