Thank you to all our athletes and families for attending our 25-26 end of season award ceremony and AGM last Sunday. We are so proud of all the athletes for their commitment this season, the parents for volunteering to help as age managers, running the meets and canteen each week and being on the committee. And thanks to our junior coaches too. Thank you everyone!😃👏🏻

⏰ Join us on Sunday 3 May, 3pm in the Fred Daly room, Canberra Labor Club (Belconnen), Chandler Street.

🏆 There will be free snacks, presentations, including a medal for each athlete (excluding Tiny Tots as they already had their presentation) as well as age group and perpetual trophy winners.

📓🗳️ The AGM and committee elections will also be held, this is a great opportunity to put your hand up and take on a role in the club for next season. We have a variety of roles to suit families with different availability- including mid week and shared roles. Please feel free to reach out to the committee for more information, and there will be information at the AGM too.

This Saturday 14 March is our last meet of the 2025/26 season. We will be completing Program 1. The under 6's and 7's are rostered on for morning set-up duty - we would appreciate it if you could arrive at 8am to help get the oval set-up.

We are also looking for some volunteers for starters on both tracks (from 8.30am), data entry assistants on both tracks (from 8.30am) and some timing gates set-up assistance (from 8-9am). We would also appreciate lots of assistance with container clean-up and pack-up so that everything is away safely for the off-season - see Pat or Marty if you able to help.

The Tiny Tots will also complete their end of season awards this weekend. The Frogs and Tigers will complete their tiny tots session from 8.30-9.15am as normal. All tiny tots will complete the awards from 9.15-9.30am, and then the Turtles, Monkeys and Hippos will complete their session from 9.30-10.15am. All Tiny Tots will receive a medal. We will also be asking for a parent (or a few parents) to nominate for the Tiny Tots coordinator for next season - to act as the point of contact for Tiny Tots parents, sort kids into groups and provide advice to the committee on the Tiny Tots program and potential improvements. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in taking on this role for the 2026/27 season!

All other age group awards will be presented at our annual AGM and awards day at a date to be announced (likely early term 2). There are quite a few ties and close points in the different age groups - so we would love to see lots of PB's this weekend!
