After spending many years building our own personal cars & helping mates with their Street Machines we have decided to start up a small business taking on automotive fabrication works. We don’t plan for this to replace our full time jobs but to enable us to build further cars and share our passion and experience with others to help them create their elite level street machines. We operate out of our home workshop with the ability to take on minor works right through to complete builds.

It’s amazing what some people hide with filler.

This front valance panel off the Nomad didn’t look too bad before blasting, but once the deep filler was removed the panel clearly needed a repair.

With the repair done, the panel can now be reused and final shaped to match the joining parts.

I really wish people wouldn't hack holes in panels...These Nomad doors are in pretty remarkable condition for something ...

I really wish people wouldn't hack holes in panels...

These Nomad doors are in pretty remarkable condition for something that's almost 70 years old. Very little rust and only a few minor repairs needed. Most of the time spent on them was actually patching up old speaker holes that had been cut into the doors at some stage of their life.
We know nobody would ever see those repairs once the doors are assembled, but we'd know they were there... so they had to be fixed.

It's been a long time since we've had Tail Spin out in its full display setup. In fact, only one other time in the last six years!

We're pretty grateful that Kylie labelled and documented everything so thoroughly when the display was originally built. Even then, it still took around 3 hours to set up and another 2 hours to pack it all away.

Back when we were regularly showing Tail Spin, we never really ventured too far inland, so it was great to see so many first-time reactions to the car. Seeing people genuinely excited about the concept and hearing their comments reminded us why we built it in the first place.

To top off a great weekend, we were lucky enough to come home with Top Undercarriage and a Top 5 spot amongst some incredibly high-quality builds.

The question is... has it reignited the passion to compete with Tail Spin again?

Just when we thought we were ready for the weekend, Tail Spin had one last surprise for us... the battery packed it in only a few days before the show.
Thankfully, the team at ODYSSEY Batteries stepped up and had a replacement on its way to us overnight.
Out with the Optima, in with the Odyssey, and we're running again.
Huge thanks to the Odyssey team for getting us out of a bind and keeping our weekend plans on track.

We're pretty wrapped with our new trailer from JTR Race Trailers.

Our old trailer served us well over the years, but with some of the bigger cars we've been building lately, it was starting to feel a bit on the small side.
It was a great setup though, so we carried over a lot of the design features we liked, just scaled everything up a fair bit to suit our needs.

Of course, Dad couldn't resist pulling over on the trip back from SA to grab a photo in front of a Perry's fuel stop. It seemed only fitting for the new trailer's first road trip!
