Rowing Australia is excited by the opportunities awaiting the “next generation” of Rowsellas at the 2026 World Rowing Under 19 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria to both deliver strong performances and gain invaluable international experience for the future.

The selected team showcases a blend of emerging talent, returning internationals, and athletes who have impressed throughout the domestic season and selection process, a system made possible through more than a decade of unwavering support from Hancock Prospecting and Rowing Australia Patron, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO.

From trials and selections, through to the big stage of international competitions like the 2026 World Rowing Under 19 Championships, Hancock Prospecting’s investment is central to Australian crews being able to prepare, perform and succeed globally.

RA also acknowledges the significant support from the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Sports Commission, and the Australian Government, whose investment enables athletes, coaches and programs to perform and represent Australia with pride.

The Australian Rowing Team finished the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Duisburg, Germany with a milestone medal haul.

Five medals, including three Gold Medal victories in the Women's Pair and the Men's and Women's PR3 Single Sculls, along with Silver Medals in the Men's Pair and Men's Four, has seen Australia finish fourth on the overall medal table.

The impressive showing in Duisburg showcased the impact that the support from Hancock Prospecting and enduring commitment of Rowing Australia Patron Mrs Gina Rinehart AO has on Australian rowing.

RA also acknowledges the support from the Australian Institute of Sport, Australian Sports Commission, and Australian Government through Minister for Sport Anika Wells, whose investment enables athletes, coaches and programs to perform and represent Australia with pride.

Rowsellas ready for Amsterdam!

Rowing Australia has confirmed The Australian Rowing Team set to compete at the 2026 World Rowing Championships from 24-30 August.

With a mix of youth and experience, the Rowsellas are primed for their chance to compete on the world stage, an opportunity made possible through the support of Hancock Prospecting and RA Patron Mrs Gina Rinehart AO, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Government.
