All jokes aside - we are at layer 3 of the base, and it’s looking good.

Weather gods are being super supportive (which is unusual) - rained when we needed to wet the base and a couple of days of sunshine now to help it set.

When nature lends a helping hand to identify the low spots!! (Consistent rain since the wee hours of the morning).

Pretty happy so far, this is “pre” second laser level, and any compaction. Water shedding nicely for the vast majority. When water sheds well from your base - you’re setup for a good all weather surface!!!

A good working guide to where we can improve drainage out side too - but it’s all headed in the right direction!

I must admit I haven’t headed in that direction on horse back in the longest time - but good to know we’ve been catered for!!

These two have perfected their “ground tying” lessons - and whilst their “hobbling” isn’t traditional it’s effective.

I suspect their trainer may be missing them, and not one to interrupt a training session, I’ve left them in place (for now) so they can be re-united.

Please remember the most effective lessons, are short, sweet and meaningful!
