The course originally consisted of sand greens, with holes being played in a clockwise direction, however, during the 1970's the course was upgraded to include grass greens and redirected to be played in an anti-clockwise direction. The club currently caters to approximately 150 playing and non-playing members and is a 9 hole/18 tee course with a quality clubhouse and range of regular competitions. We welcome all visitors and new members to come and join us at any time. Regular competitions include:
Wednesday mornings ladies 9 holes commencing at 9am
Thursday Social Club 9 holes commencing at 3pm
Vets Friday 9 holes commencing at 9am
Saturday 18 holes commencing at 11.00am
Sunday 18 holes commencing at 11.00am
Public holidays 18 holes commencing at 10.30am
A range of championships throughout the year. The course is generally open from 8am to 5 week days.. The only restrictions for public use is when organised competitions are being played. Even though many courses are closed because of the weather, we at Charters Towers are blessed to have an all weather course that drains quickly and is usually open for play. Cart, buggy and club hire is available.
