Here to inform the community on Fire News & Awareness, & other community news & events.

We will not tolerate any bullying, bad language, racism or vicious/nasty comments. They will be removed. Originally formed in 1939 as Lilydale Bush Fire Brigade, Coldstream became its own entity in 1963. However, firefighting in the area dates back as far as 1898. Coldstream CFA has been involved in many large incidents over the past 50 years, including the 2009 Black Saturday fires and a blaze wh

ich destroyed the fire station itself in 2000. Coldstream CFA is part of District 13. Training Times: Sunday 9:00am - 12:00pm / Monday 7:30pm
We are always looking for volunteers, not just for fire fighting, but in other areas of our brigade. Anyone wishing to find out more information, are more then welcome to pop down to the station,during training hours, and speak with one of our friendly members. Monthly Meetings: Every 2nd Monday of the month 8:00pm

Today our crew completed the stairclimb challenge, 28 floors, 1222 stairs with full gear.
So proud of you all, job well done.

🖤 25 Years On .... September 11, 2001 🖤
Today we remember the 2,983 lives lost on September 11, 2001
We also acknowledge the sacrifice of the 343 Fire Fighters, 61 Police Officers and 8 Paramedics who died doing their best to assist others
Four planes flying over the eastern US were seized simultaneously by small teams of hijackers.
They were then used as giant, guided missiles to crash into landmark buildings in New York and Washington.
Two planes struck the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York.
The first hit the North Tower at 08:46 Eastern Time (12:46 GMT). The second crashed into the South Tower at 09:03.
The buildings were set on fire, trapping people on the upper floors, and wreathing the city in smoke. In less than two hours, both 110-storey towers collapsed in massive clouds of dust.
At 09:37 the third plane destroyed the western face of the Pentagon - the giant headquarters of the US military just outside the nation's capital, Washington DC.
The fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania at 10:03 after passengers fought back. It is thought the hijackers had meant to attack the Capitol Building in Washington DC.

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER WARNING - DAMAGING WINDS - WED 19TH AUG ⚠️
For people in parts of Central, North Central, West and South Gippsland and North East Forecast Districts.
Issued at 10:41 am Tuesday, 18 August 2026.
Damaging winds possible in Melbourne and the central ranges on Wednesday
Weather Situation: A strong northerly flow is forecast to develop on Wednesday morning ahead of a trough crossing Victoria, bringing strong winds over central parts of the state. Winds will then tend northwesterly and ease during the afternoon in the wake of the trough.
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are possible throughout the central ranges from early Wednesday morning. After sunrise these winds may extend into Melbourne and parts of the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas.
Winds are expected to ease during the afternoon.
Locations which may be affected include Melbourne, Yarra Glen, Mt Baw Baw and Rosebud
