Round 8 is here, and the Griffith Blacks hit the road for one of the longest trips of the season as we travel to Tumut to take on the Bulls.
After a well-earned competition bye, our players are refreshed, focused, and ready for a big day of rugby. Long road trips are never easy, but they provide an opportunity for our club to come together, strengthen our bonds, and represent the black jersey with pride.
Tumut is always a tough place to play, and we know the Bulls will be ready to defend their home ground. Our Women’s, 2nd Grade and 1st Grade sides are all looking forward to the challenge as we continue to build momentum heading into the back half of the season.
To all our supporters making the journey, thank you for your commitment and passion. Safe travels, and let’s get behind all our teams as they take the field.

Training 6:30pm Tuesday and Thursday at the Exies Sports Club (33 Speirs St) The Griffith Blacks Rugby Club have a proud tradition dating back to 1960.
Over the years the club has produced some exceptional rugby players and won many championships. The club prides itself on tradition, respect, fair play and gamesmanship. GBRC play in the SIRU (Southern Inland Rugby Union) competition which encompasses 9 other clubs from the Wagga area, Albury, Leeton, Hay, Tumut and Deniliquin. Fielding four senior grades; 1st Grade, Womens, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grad

LADDER UPDATE 🖤🖤
What a position to be in as we head into the second half of the season.
🔝 Women’s – Sitting 1st on the ladder and still undefeated with a perfect 5 from 5 record.
🥇 3rd Grade – Leading the competition in 1st place, setting the standard week in, week out.
🥈 2nd Grade – Holding 2nd place and firmly in the hunt for the minor premiership.
💪 1st Grade – Sitting 3rd, right in the mix and building towards the business end of the season.
These ladder positions are a reflection of the hard work put in by our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters. Nothing has been won yet, but the foundations are being laid for a strong finish to 2026.
The challenge now is simple: stay hungry, stay humble and keep improving every week.
