2nd Sutherland ARMCO has always had a strong leadership team and we are looking for some new leaders to join us.
YES, there is a time commitment and YES there is training involved which is a rewarding experience in itself and can lead to Cert III qualifications.
Some of our leaders have children aging out of the group and will be looking to move on to other life adventures and we need to fill those leadership gaps.
If you have ever considered the idea, have a chat with one of us to find out what is involved.

Our Venturer unit enjoyed a fantastic weekend of abseiling and caving at Wee Jasper with 1st Junee and 1st Tumut Scout Groups, ticking off some progressions on their Scouting journey. Thank you to leaders RaaRaa, Chris Ward and Andrew Maccormick for providing such wonderful opportunities for our adventurous Vennies and to parent helper Andrew L who is always there in support. They even had time for HSC and Uni study sessions. Enjoy our photos.

Tonight the kids took part in a community pantry drive, door knocking around the neighbourhood to collect donations of food items for the community food bin at South Village.

The kids were incredibly polite and respectful, and it was lovely to see the residents respond with such kindness and generosity through their donations 💛

So proud of the way they represented the community and helped support families doing it tough. Thank you to everyone who contributed, every donation will make a difference.

What an amazing High Tea our Scouts put on for their mothers last night. A very big thank you to Anaconda, Banshee and Leisa for this event.

Whilst we slept, these guys ran a marathon to raise funds for cancer research. BRAVOOO team!

Our Cubs, Scouts and Venturers joined hundreds of people at Sutherland this morning to commemorate Anzac Day at the dawn service. They participated in the parade, marching behind our veterans and the marching band.

Two of our Venturers, Milo and Lewis, were selected to be on flag duty at the cenotaph.
