We're welcoming boys and girls into our U10 Rookies, Under 12, 14, 16 and 18 teams -plus Cricket Blast for the little ones. It's a fun, supportive environment with great coaching and a genuine community feel.

Abe Kenny has been appointed to the role of Development Coach for the coming season.

A school teacher by profession, Abe’s family name is synonymous with our Club’s rich history. A Hampton player from the start Abe made his 1st XI debut as a 15 year old and has been a regular for over a decade. Now Vice-Captain of that side, Abe is looking to expand his coaching and leadership experience and help the next generation of boys and girls coming through.

For over a decade, the Club has invested in our 14-17 year olds through the Pre-Season Academy. This year we want to invest in the program throughout the season as well. While he’ll be present at some of the Pre-Season Academy sessions, Abe’s main role will be to work with members of the Academy Squad throughout the year as mentor and coach.

We are excited to announce that Mat Pearson has been appointed to the role of Assistant Coach for season 2026/27.

Growing up, Mat played his cricket at Hampton notching 199 games including the 2006/07 1st XI premiership before pursuing coaching opportunities at a number of CSB clubs. Passionate about the development of young players, Mat moved to Casey-South Melbourne to take on a development coaching role and leading the third XI there for six seasons. Mat returned to Hampton in 2024/25 playing a handful of games including his 200th joining the Doug Powell Order of the Hook.

Mat will play a critical role supporting Senior Coach Tim Woodruff at training during the week as well as playing wherever family commitments allow to further support the development of our top end talent.

We are very excited to welcome Mat back to Hampton in this capacity and look forward to everything he’ll bring to our group. 💙💛

We are now taking on expressions of interest from new players for the 2026/27 season.

Girls - Affiliated with the AGCC, we have a thriving girls program that last year fielded 5 sides across U12/U14 and U16 making Hampton the 4th largest girls program in Victoria. This year we’re looking to grow and plan to introduce an U18 side. We also have opportunities to play SECA mixed and Senior Women’s with no further registration fees required.

Women’s - Last season we relaunched our Women’s program creating a pathway for our girls and providing an opportunity for women of all ages and abilities to enjoy our great game. Affiliated with Cricket Southern Bayside, this season we will add a second side to ensure we can offer greater options for those more advanced cricketers as well as those starting out their cricket journey.

Registrations will open in July so keep your eye out for further information. 💙💛🏏
