It was a big night at Kettering yacht club on Saturday.
The annual Ronald Young and Co Pipe Opener regatta got underway with some great racing during the day.
Friday’s gale force winds eased enough to get 36 boats on the water for the Cove Cup and associated multi-division races.
Then it was back to the club for the post race debrief and relaxation.
As dark fell and the fire pits flared the mood soared.
Thumping pub rock band ‘The Singles Bar’ got the crowd jumping and the food vans kept everyone’s strength up.
A huge thanks to the team from Derwent Sailing Squadron and all the volunteers from Kettering YC who helped make the night yet another success.
Thanks also to all our sponsors, Fair Dinkum Builds, Derwent boat sales, Oyster Cove Chandlery, Storm bay sails, and Baxters IGA, Hobart Brewing Co,
Willie smith, and Oyster cove inn.

The big Saturday night party at Kettering Yacht Club is going to be a big one.

Food Music and fun is the order of the evening after a day of exciting racing.
