G’day everyone, Hayden Crockett founder of Old Head Young Shoulders Rugby League Academy, based in [Leeton / Riverina].

After years involved in rugby league, I’ve started Old Head Young Shoulders with one simple goal:

To develop better players and build better people. Bridging the gap between City and Country players.

The academy will focus on more than just rugby league skills. We’ll work on:

Introducing our new Head Coach of Group Training at Studio 9 Fitness… Annie Brown (Annie Brown | Group Fitness Coach).

Over the past two years, Annie has completely bought into our vision for group fitness and has taken it to another level. Her coaching, leadership and genuine care for Studio 9 members has not gone unnoticed, and the feedback has been nothing but extremely positive.

Get to know Annie a little more as she shares:

• The kind of experience she wants to continue creating within our classes

You’ll also get an insight into why our assistant coaches love working alongside Annie and what they’re excited about as she steps into this next chapter.

Moving forward, Studio 9 will continue to provide the platform, while ARB Fitness will lead the programming and facilitate the running of our group fitness classes under Annie’s leadership.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait for you to experience Annie’s vision for our classes and the coaching team she will continue to develop.

Week 7 of our GRIND program starts tomorrow, marking the halfway point of the current block.

In GRIND Engine, we’ve focused on building strength from the ground up, progressing from foundational work through to max strength and power. Alongside this, members have been challenged through conditioning sessions designed to test stamina and endurance.

Next week is our deload week, where we return to the foundations before beginning the next progression cycle.

In GRIND Anchor, the focus has remained on developing the foundations that support our Engine program. Sessions have combined prehab-based strength work with elements of high-intensity cardio and plyometrics.

Next term will see some changes to the way our group training is structured and managed. The foundations of what we do aren’t changing, but we’re taking the opportunity to refine and develop the member experience.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more details soon.
