U8–U13 PICK-UP GAMES ARE BACK

After a fantastic 2025 series, ATOM Pick-Up Games are returning in Term 4, 2026.

Pick-Up Games are designed to give motivated young footballers more opportunities to play, make decisions and challenge themselves during the off-season.

Rather than structured training, the focus is on meaningful match play. Players will be placed into different teams each week, giving them new teammates, opponents and problems to solve.

The environment is particularly suited to players who are already playing at a strong level, aspiring towards academy or representative football, or simply love the game and want more challenging football.

2026 will also be the first year we introduce U8 Pick-Up Games, and we're particularly keen to hear from enthusiastic U8 players who would enjoy this environment.

We're aiming to finalise player numbers by Friday 4 September so that we can begin building the groups and organising the sessions.

If your child is interested, don't leave it until the last minute — lock in their place now.

When the regular soccer season finishes, some players aren’t ready to stop playing.

ATOM Pick-Up Games are designed for young footballers who love the game, want to keep improving and enjoy being challenged.

This isn’t simply a casual kick-around.

We are bringing together enthusiastic players for organised, meaningful matches where they can make decisions, solve problems, compete and play against different players each week.

We create an environment where players are challenged by the game and encouraged to think, compete and enjoy playing.

Eight Saturdays of Pick-Up Games will run throughout Term 4, with groups from U8 through U12/U13.

If your child enjoys soccer and you’d like to see them continue to improve, that’s what ATOM is for.

We provide focused soccer training for children who want to develop their skills, become more confident and understand the game a little better.

It doesn’t need to be complicated.

Children improve when they have opportunities to practice, learn and build on what they already know. Our sessions give them another opportunity each week to work on their soccer in a supportive, purposeful environment.

Our aim is simple: to help children become more capable, more confident and better equipped to play the game.

Children don’t need to be the best player to fall in love with football.

Many children enjoy soccer more when the game starts to make sense.

When players understand where to move, when to pass, and what they are trying to achieve, the game becomes less confusing and more enjoyable. They spend less time guessing and more time making decisions with confidence.

At ATOM, we focus on helping children understand the game, not just perform drills. Through clear coaching and age-appropriate activities, players learn why things happen on the field and how to recognise solutions for themselves.

Over time, those small moments of understanding add up. Children become more confident, more involved, and more willing to try new things because they begin to trust their own decisions.
