Wow… what a day! 😮‍💨 Sorry for the delay — the social media girl has been recovering! 😂

Firstly, a huge congratulations to our A1s, A2s & 11&Us on making it to the Grand Final. While the outcome wasn’t what you were hoping for, you all gave everything, played some amazing netball and fought right through to the final whistle. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. 🖤🤍

Secondly, a very special congratulations to our MNC Life Member, Nicky Graham, who was awarded APNA Life Membership on Saturday. 👏🏼

Nicky, this is such a wonderful recognition of the countless hours, effort and passion you have put into netball — not only for Mallala Netball Club, but for the association as well.

🏆 GRAND FINAL DAY EVE 🖤🤍

The big day is almost here!

Tomorrow we head to Long Plains, and we are absolutely pumped to see our girls take the court and battle it out for Grand Final glory.

We’ve got FOUR massive games coming up, and we know our teams are ready to give it everything they’ve got.

So Maggies supporters, we need YOU!

Get down to Long Plains, bring the BLACK & WHITE, bring the noise and get behind our teams from the first whistle right through to the final siren.

What a fun night at the club! Tonight, we got together to make signs and banners ready for this weekend’s Grand Final. 🎉

Our youngest Magpies are VERY excited to cheer loud, show off their banners and get behind our teams this weekend! 🖤🤍📣

The 2026 Annual General Meeting is coming up! 📝

🏐 PRELIMINARY FINAL 🖤🤍

What a huge day of netball! The trek to Lochiel saw plenty of hotly contested games, including a couple of overtime thrillers and some incredibly close results.

🖤15s

Our 15s kicked off the day with a close battle against Hummocks. The girls controlled the game for most of the day, but Hummocks found their stride in the final quarter to take the win.

The girls have come such a long way this season and should be incredibly proud of the year they’ve had!

Final score: MAL 26 – HUM 28

Next up were our A6s, who played out another incredibly close game. Following the theme of the two games before them, the match went into overtime!

It was a hard-fought contest that sadly didn’t go our way, with Two Wells taking the win in overtime.

This team has shown so much growth throughout the season and should be extremely proud of making it all the way to the Preliminary Final. What a season!

Final score: MAL 29 – TW 33

🔥 A1s – GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🔥

And finally… our A1s! What an incredible display of netball!

Taking control from the get-go, the girls jumped out to an early lead before Two Wells fought their way back into the game to level the scores at half time.

A dominant third quarter put the girls back in front, and they held their nerve in the fourth to bring home a fantastic win and BOOK THEIR SPOT IN THE GRAND FINAL!

Congratulations, girls! Your hard work, determination and belief have truly paid off. Finding your strength at the back end of the season to get yourselves into this position is something to be incredibly proud of.

And as they say… the underdog story is always the best one!

The 11&U, A2s & A4s have already secured their spots in the GRAND FINAL — now we need to get behind our 15&U, A6s & A1s to get them into the big dance! 🏆🖤🤍

Please be aware there are roadworks between Port Wakefield & Lochiel, as well as roadworks surrounding the oval area.

It’s time to celebrate our Seniors and everything they’ve achieved throughout the season!

Join us for a special night of celebration, recognition, good food and great company.
