What an amazing Club Night on Friday 7th August!

A HUGE thank you to our 81 swimmers who hit the blocks, one of our biggest Club Nights yet! πŸŽ‰

We saw some fabulous swimming, plenty of PBs and State Qualifying Times, and lots of smiles along the way. πŸ‘

What an incredible week of racing at the School Sport Australia 13–19 Years Swimming Championships in Melbourne!

A massive congratulations to our Mandurah Swimming Club representatives who proudly wore the WA colours πŸ’›πŸ–€

Every swimmer represented WA and our club with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship.

✨ Phoebe stepped up to compete as a 13-year-old despite being just 12, achieving a fantastic 0.94 second PB in the 50m Freestyle to finish 15th, before also contributing to the mixed relay team.

✨ Remy impressed across the breaststroke events, reaching the 100m Breaststroke Final to finish 9th, placing 10th in the timed 200m Breaststroke final, and delivering a brilliant breaststroke leg in the medley relay.

✨ Shelby had an outstanding meet, swimming PBs in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke, making two finals, finishing 7th in the 100m Breaststroke and 10th in the 50m Breaststroke. She also swam in a relay and is eagerly awaiting confirmation of a possible Age National qualifying time! 🀞

✨ Alexander enjoyed an incredible championship with 6 PBs from 7 individual events. He also swam freestyle in three relays, going even faster than his new PB each time, and officially cracked the 27 Club! πŸ‘

✨ Charlotte competed in five individual events, recording two PBs, making finals in both the 100m Breaststroke and 100m Butterfly (finishing 8th in both), placing 7th in the 200m Individual Medley, competing in two timed 200m finals, and producing a fantastic breaststroke relay leg.

Beyond the results, our swimmers spoke about what an honour it was to represent Western Australia on the national stage. The experience has inspired them to strive for selection again next year, qualify for even more events, and they encourage any swimmers considering applying in the future to go for it, you never know where the opportunity might take you!

We're incredibly proud of all five swimmers for their outstanding performances and the way they represented both WA and Mandurah Swimming Club. Congratulations!
