Our Development Programs run after school, on weekends and during school holidays, providing great opportunities to gain coaching experience and develop your skills.

How to get started:

Step 1: Check you meet the criteria

✔️ Age 12+
✔️ Love basketball
✔️ Ready to learn and develop

Step 2: Register and complete the free online “Intro to Coaching” course

It is encouraged that all new coaches complete at least the Introduction to Coaching module. Additional coaching courses will be encouraged as you progress through your development.

Step 3: Start coaching with our Mini Magicians Development Program

🏀 July Referee of the Month 🏀

Congratulations to Imogen Barclay on being our July Referee of the Month! 👏

Over the past month, Imogen has shown fantastic growth and confidence in her refereeing, stepping up into the lead referee position and demonstrating great leadership when officiating alongside younger co-officials.

She has also done a wonderful job supporting and mentoring new shadow referees, while continuing to develop her skills through officiating WABL games.

Her positive attitude, willingness to support others and continued growth as a referee have been fantastic to see. 🙌
