Holy heck!!!! What a week that was!!!!

Yeppoon Youth Sail 2026 did not disappoint, with winds from gentle to terrifying along with the notorious Yeppoon shore break.

The RS Feva fleet had an amazing trip, with coaching and the hotly contested National RS Fever Championships.

In spicy conditions Dalton Barnes and Piper Barnes sailed excellently in big waves and big winds to take out the cup.

Sailing in their best regatta ever, and getting better every day, the all girl team of Avery Normandeaux and Issy Tribe took out second by only one point from first!

Special mention goes to RQYS's Lawson Barnes and his new crew Issy Johnston for breaking every component on their boat. (this special mention also goes out to Kristian Swart and Ben Barnes for keeping Lawson on the water every day!)

A fantastic event, showcasing what youth sailing should be like, making new friends and sailing on new bits of water.

Thanks everyone for turning up.

Thanks for also to the team for the camaraderie, and the great photos.

Photo credits due to https://www.facebook.com/stallionstudiosphotography for the utterly beautiful photography that really catupres the spirit of youth sailing!

What a fantastic day on the water on Saturday. Coaching in the morning consisted of turbo sailing up wind and finding the angles down wind. Everyone is looking great on the water!

RS 200 fleet showing off their skills on Saturday that started with 16kts and grew to a max of 28kts by the end.

I had Issy onboard for the first time in ages and she did an amazing job. Such great fun getting to sail with your kids in these conditions.
