We've had an AMAZING Semester One with you all, we can't wait to do it all again for Semester Two!

Karaoke is the perfect opportunity to express vourself, whether that be anger about a tutor, joy about a grade or melancholy about another test coming down the road.

For Stress-Less week, we will be collaborating with the Welfare department!

There's only two weeks left of Semester One, make sure you make the most of it! Let us know what you want to see from Creative Arts in Semester Two!

We are looking to support any artistic project or opportunity for artistic development, including but not limited to: performing arts, creative writing, visual arts, music, film and media.

Whether you're directing three musicals, curating an exhibition on dogs, or toying with the idea of wrapping wire around a stick and chucking it in a pool under the light of the moon - you can apply for funding of up to $500 through our grants program!

Apply through the UMSU Creative Arts website, applications close Tuesday 16th of April, T&Cs apply.

We heard you, what even is Tastings?

Join Creative Arts for a Side Stage Social at the Ida Bar — a fun, relaxed evening of food and drinks for student theatre groups. It's a chance for students involved in theatre to meet other makers and creatives, and connect with this year's Creative Arts representatives (Ethan and Yashesvi), and chat about all things art, theatre and student representation.

Want to gain experience in theatre producing, performing arts programming, artist liaison and production? Are you a University of Melbourne student interested in a PAID opportunity?

We're seeking a Producer for Tastings 2026 – a bite size program of theatre and live performance bought to you by UMSU’s Creative Arts and Union House Theatre. This is a part time, renumerated opportunity over May - August 2026. You’ll be a University of Melbourne student with a strong interest in theatre on campus, and keen to help with the rollout of the Tastings program in the Guild Theatre, August 2026. You’ll learn valuable and employable producing, communication and arts administration skills!

It's time for some relaxation, focusing on wellbeing and mindfullness in Art Therapy, a collaboration between UMSU Creative Arts and UMSU Welfare!

In Week 9, we will be doing Concertina Books.
