🥇 Congratulations Marlie! 🥇

Huge congratulations to Marlie Malcolm and Team Axis Employment on winning the inaugural Bowls Victoria All-In-5’s! 👏

A fantastic achievement and another great result for Marlie on the state stage.

Well done Marlie! 🥳

🥇Team Axis Employment

The inaugural winners, a composite team backed by sponsor Axis Employment, defeated the Golden Rollers in their Semi of Fours/Singles. While their Fours drew, it was Josh 'JT' Thornton's convincing Singles win over Lucas Protopapas that got them over the line.

So it would be 1 v 2 in the Grand Final, and the Axis line-up of Ian 'JR' Ewing, JT, Brad Orr, Marlie Malcolm and Liv Cartwright, were going to be hard to beat.

Five Singles matches later and it would be 4 rinks wins to Team Axis, with Orry narrowly defeated by Matt Flapper 18-21, and much excitement on the Renshaw/Ewing rink, with JR hanging on to win 21-20.

With positive feedback all round from the competitors, and host club Moama Bowling Club and their volunteers looking after both players and spectators so well, the All-In-5's was a great success and a perfect example of an inclusive, diverse and accessible bowls event. We applaud all the participants and congratulate all the finalists.
