Founded in 1967, Hamilton Hawks is one of the Hunter region’s premier clubs. Our mission is simple! We want rugby union to be a sport for all.

Hamilton Hawks Rugby Club want to encourage and support the participation of all ages in rugby, giving everyone the opportunity to try something new and fun. We also have a vision alongside Rugby Australia, to see more women and girls in rugby. We want to provide opportunities for female teams to be established across all levels. We pride ourselves on being a rugby club with strong values and ethics. We stand by:
- Family and Community Values
- Inclusivity
- Diversity
- Respect

A jersey is the visual mark you wear on the field, but being a Hawk is everything else, our culture, our values, our club spirit, and the way we support one another on and off the field.

The Hawks family is about the full experience: how we welcome every new junior player, the respect we show our volunteers, sponsors and supporters, and the lifelong friendships and connections we build along the way.

It's also about standing together when our people need us most.

We believe our responsibility extends beyond the game, which is why community activation campaigns are such an important part of our club. Initiatives like our recent Mental Health Black Jersey Round reflect our commitment to raising awareness, encouraging conversations, and supporting the wellbeing of our members and the wider community.

Because being a Hawk isn't just about pulling on the jersey, it's about belonging to a club that genuinely cares, gives back, and stands together through every challenge and every success.

This weekend, it's more than just rugby. πŸ’™πŸ‰

Join us at Passmore Oval for one of the biggest rounds of the season as we come together for our Mental Health Round.

Rugby is about more than the game it’s about mateship, community, and looking after one another both on and off the field.

This round is about raising awareness, starting conversations, and reminding everyone that it's okay to ask for help.

Bring your family, bring your friends, wear your club colours, and help us pack the sidelines.

Every cheer, every tackle, every conversation makes a difference.

Following Saturdays Premier 1 match, our special edition Black Jersey Round jerseys will be auctioned in the Richard Cusick Room, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support families within our community who have recently been devastated by su***de.

This is more than a jersey auction. It's our first-ever Black Jersey Round a powerful reminder that mental health matters, that no one should struggle alone, and that one simple conversation can save a life.

Ring a mate. Check in. Ask the question. Be there.

These jerseys represent unity, strength, and the commitment of our club to stand beside those doing it tough. Every bid will make a real difference to families who need our support the most.

πŸ“ Jersey Auction: Richard Cusick Room
πŸ‰ When: Immediately after the Premier 1 match
πŸ’™ All proceeds will go to supporting families impacted by su***de.

Let's fill the room, bid generously, and show what our rugby community is truly about.

Together, we can make a difference.

Because it's okay not to be okay but it's never okay to go through it alone.

πŸ–€ Mental Health Black Jersey Round πŸ–€
Saturday June 20 Passmore Oval.

Some battles aren't visible.
Some smiles hide pain.
Some of the strongest people you know are carrying the heaviest burdens.

This Black Jersey Round, we wear black to stand together, break the stigma, and remind every player, volunteer, supporter and family member that it's okay not to be okay and it's okay to ask for help.

Mental health affects all of us.

In Australia:
πŸ–€ 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health disorder in any given year.
πŸ–€ Around 43% of Australians will experience a mental health disorder at some point in their lifetime.

Rugby is more than a game. It's a community. A family. And families look after each other.

If you're struggling, know that you don't have to face it alone.

Sometimes the most powerful words we can say are:
"Are you okay?"
And the bravest words we can hear are:
"I'm not okay."

This round, let's stand shoulder to shoulder not just on the field, but in life.

Together, we can make sure no one fights their battle alone. πŸ–€
