Dear Members,
We are incredibly saddened and angry to report a severe act of deliberate vandalism on our putting green earlier this morning.
A group of individuals riding electric bikes intentionally rode onto the course, tearing across the surface and leaving extensive tire tracks etched into the turf.
This is not a case of "kids just having harmless fun." This is a blatant act of criminal property damage targeting a community asset that our greenkeeping team works tirelessly to keep in pristine condition.
The damage to our bentgrass surfaces is deep and disruptive. As many of you know, repairing torn roots and compacted turf takes weeks—if not months—of careful remediation to bring the greens back to tournament standards. Seeing the hard work of our staff and the facility we all enjoy treated with such complete disrespect is infuriating.
We need your help to hold those responsible accountable:
Report Sightings: If you witnessed individuals riding e-bikes on or immediately around the Links Lady Bay Golf Course property early this morning, please write down descriptions or details.
If you live nearby on St Andrews Boulevard or neighboring streets and have dashcam or home security footage from this morning, please check for groups riding electric bikes.

The matter is being reported to the local police. We refuse to accept this behavior as a norm in our community and will pursue every avenue to ensure the individuals responsible face the consequences of their actions.
