Your C-section scar might look healed on the outside… but still not feel fully settled underneath.

One of the hands-on techniques we use to support C-section scar healing is DRY NEEDLING. 🌸

A C-section scar isn’t just skin deep.
There are multiple layers involved, skin, fat, fascia, and muscle, so it’s really common for things like tightness, sensitivity, or that “stuck” feeling to linger.

Dry needling works by targeting these deeper layers, especially where there may be muscle tightness, nerve sensitivity, or fascial restriction around the scar.

It can support recovery by:
– improving blood flow to the area
– helping release fascial adhesions and tissue mobility
– reducing sensitivity, altered sensation or lingering numbness around the area
– supporting confidence and connection with your core and abdomen

‼️ IS IT PAINFUL?
The needles are very fine, and most women describe it as a small prick, ache, or quick twitch. You may feel some brief discomfort, but it should remain manageable. Many women notice a sense of release or relief afterwards as the area relaxes.

Our scar tissue-qualified massage therapist will always talk you through it, go at your pace, and make sure you’re comfortable the whole time.

While we often use this for C-section recovery, dry needling can also support healing in many other types of scars across the body, such as those resulting from surgeries, injuries, or burns.

If you’re a C-section mum and would like to know more, feel free to reach out and speak with us. Let’s start your healing together 🤍

'Ask Women’s Health Hub' is here! 💬✨

Women’s Health Week might be wrapping up, but the conversation doesn’t have to.

When it comes to women’s health, there are still so many questions that can be hard to get a clear answer to.

Maybe you’ve:
- Googled a symptom and ended up more confused than when you started
- Wondered, “Is this normal?” but felt a little awkward asking
- Been given conflicting information about your body
- Had a question that didn’t feel “big enough” to book an appointment for
- Simply not known who to ask

That’s why we’re introducing Ask Women’s Health Hub 🌸

A new space where you can send us the questions you’ve been wondering about - from pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum to menopause, exercise, Pilates, pain, strength, recovery and more.

Our team will take your questions and turn them into evidence-based, practical answers through our posts or private messages, helping make what’s happening in your body a little easier to understand.

You can send us a direct message, email us, or leave your question in the comments below.

Your question might just be the one someone else has been wanting to ask too.

So, what would you like to ask about Women’s Health Hub? 🌸

Women’s Health Week | Day 3: To Rest 🌙

Some days, you can do everything you usually do.

Other days, you’re running on broken sleep, a busy week, young children, shift work, pain, or changes through perimenopause or menopause, and your body may need something different.

It can be easy to still expect the same from yourself anyway.

So instead of only asking, “What else should I be doing?”, it may be worth checking in with:
✅ How am I feeling after activity?
✅ Am I actually recovering between sessions?
✅ Am I feeling more tired or sore as the week goes on?
✅ Would doing a little less today help me feel better tomorrow?

Rest doesn’t mean you’re falling behind.

Sometimes, listening to what your body needs today is part of looking after where you want it to take you tomorrow.

Recovery is part of progress too. Rest anyway.

When was the last time you checked in on your own mental health?

It’s day 4 of Women’s Health Week, with the theme to breathe.

It’s easy to keep moving through the day, ticking things off, looking after other people, and telling yourself you’re fine.

Sometimes, your own wellbeing quietly ends up further down the list.

So today, a few simple reminders:
✨ You don’t have to wait until it feels like too much. If something feels off, it is worth paying attention to.

✨ Small things can still help. A walk, some quiet time, doing something you enjoy, or talking to someone you trust.

✨ Reaching out is part of looking after yourself too. If you feel like you need more support, speaking with your GP or an appropriate mental health professional can be a good place to start.

Maybe today’s small step is simply asking yourself: “How am I actually going?”

Your mental health deserves care and attention too. Check in with yourself. Breathe anyway 💛

If you or someone you know could use some extra support:

A little peek into a day in the life of a physio at Women’s Health Hub 💛

This World Physiotherapy Day, we’re celebrating our physios, Mikayla, Alicia and Cate, and the work they do with our patients and community to help them move, recover, stay active and feel more confident in their bodies.

It’s also a reminder that movement isn’t only about recovery - it’s part of looking after your heart, too 💛
