Welcome to SAILING THINGS, the Capel Sound Invitational comic series.
There’s a mysterious force and something strange is happening on and off the water.
Boats are disappearing.
Clubs are going quiet.
The car parks aren’t as full as they used to be.
The people who once couldn’t wait to get on the water are finding other things to do.
And nobody seems to know why.
But here at the CSI, there are still a few people who haven’t forgotten.
Sailors.
Paddlers.
Friends.
Wind.
Water.
Adventure.
They’ve noticed something.
Something is taking people from our sport.
Something doesn’t want us to sail.
But it picked the wrong bunch of people to target.
Over the next 12 weeks, we’ll follow the sailors of the Capel Sound Invitational as they uncover the strange forces working against our sport — and fight back the only way they know how.
By getting on the water.
By bringing their mates.
By racing.
By having fun.
By refusing to disappear.
