Our most recent Sisters who Sabre women’s introduction to sword fighting class ran on Saturday, another sell out session full of powerful ladies bringing strong sword energy. It's lovely to see the participants support each other as they learn a new skill.

On the weekend we hosted our internal sabre tournament, one of the biggest on record with 19 competitors swashbuckling their way through the field of competitors.

After a huge day of fencing, the victors emerged. Well done to all who tested their mettle, congrats to the medallists, and massive thanks to the vollies who made it all possible. Pics and vids to follow - stay tuned.

It may be a public holiday - but we're still training! Class starts at 1800 with fighting fit, followed by longsword fundamentals at 1830 and competitive longsword at 1930.

The York Medieval Fayre is on this Sunday 27th at Avon Park in York, and Ursa Major will be in attendance providing all manner of medieval merriment.

Catch us in the arena at 1045 and 1240 - and come and chat at our encampment at any time. If you want to channel your inner Robin Hood or Maid Marion, you can even pop off a few shots at our living archery targets!

Last weekend six of our intrepid members travelled south of the river to Cost of Glory hosted by Aiginskalk, competing across sabre, rapier, and longsword. We're pleased to say that we came away with quite a haul after fencing competitors from all over.
