The top seed. The fastest finisher on Stage 1. The fastest finisher on Stage 2. The furthest on Stage 3.

Western Australia’s Jai Whitby is your Last Ninja Standing for 2026.

He came the closest anyone has ever come to achieving Total Victory at the NCL Finals, progressing further into the seventh obstacle of Stage 3 than anyone before him – at the tender age of 16, to boot!

Proving he is the total package, he couldn’t be topped at any point this year – whether it was in the national standings or on any individual stage.

We used a chain motif on our 2026 NCL Finals logo to represent our hope that someone would break through and claim Total Victory. While Jai came (just) short of that goal, he did make history as the first top seed to claim the coveted title of Last Ninja Standing with one of the most dominant three-stage performances we’ve ever seen.

Congratulations, Jai! There’s just one mountain left for you to climb and I’m sure it won’t be long before you conquer it, too.

See the full list of results on our website and relive the entire event on our YouTube channel.

Thanks to our host facility West Coast Warriors and prize suppliers Goodman Grips and SStuff Australia, the athletes, parents and spectators, course testers, course setters, course resetters, livestream crew, commentators, photographers, reception staff, obstacle builders and everyone else who contributed to this season and this incredible week of competition.

We'll make an announcement about 2027 soon, but for now, let's all bask in Jai's great performance one more time.

Sixty-three young ninjas. Three divisions. Three stages. Two days. One Total Victory.

That's a wrap on the NCL Youth Finals 2026 hosted by West Coast Warriors in Scarborough on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October.

Congratulations to Ronan Pietzsch in the Pre-Teens Division for finally securing that Total Victory and to the other podium winners, buzzer beaters and athletes who took on this challenging gauntlet.

Revealing your official 2026 NCL Finals logo featuring the top overall seed, Western Australia’s own Jai Whitby 🙌🙌🙌

Jai has been building momentum on the ninja scene for years, from his record-setting Total Victory in the Teens Division in 2023 to a strong debut season in Adults last year 🥷

This year represents a real breakthrough for Jai as he burst onto the national scene as our top points scorer (narrowly edging out runner-up Riley Hume) on the back of multiple wins at our Finals venue West Coast Warriors

The broken chain in the photo symbolises that breakthrough, as well as what we hope to see someone achieve at this year’s Finals – the first Total Victory in the Adults Division 👀🤞

This logo will feature on the limited edition NCL Finals t-shirts for 2026, as well as the medals awarded to our top competitors across all divisions
