Every player starts somewhere... ⚽😅

Your child doesn’t need to have mastered the ball before stepping onto the futsal court...

Learning starts with getting involved, trying things out and building confidence one session at a time. 🚀

For beginners, our advice is simple. Swipe through 👉🏽 for three tips to help your young player find their feet.

Save this for a little encouragement before their next session! 🙌📍

Meet Coach Luke Wilkinson! ⚽️👋

From first kicks at age four to helping the next generation find their feet, Luke brings over 20 years of involvement in football and futsal to his role at SDB. 🎊😍

Having represented clubs including Fremantle Spirit, Western Knights and Gosnells Soccer Club, Luke understands the game from both sides of the sideline. 💡

His sessions focus on building technical skills, developing smarter decision-making and encouraging players to get creative with the ball.

Above all, Luke wants young players to enjoy their football, support their teammates and feel confident trying something new.

He’s also working towards his FFA/AFC C Diploma, continuing to build on the experience he brings to every session. ✅

Say hello to Luke next time you’re at training! 👋

A little extra support can make a big difference. ⚽️

Our private football coaching helps players aged 6–13 develop their skills, build confidence and work towards individual goals.

Each session is tailored to your child’s ability, pace and learning style - whether they’re new to football or aiming for a higher level. 🌟👏

Choose 1-on-1 coaching or small group sessions with friends or teammates, with personalised feedback and a focus on:

• Ball control and technique
• Passing and receiving
• First touch and movement
• 1v1 skills and decision-making
• Position-specific development

Private coaching complements regular football, futsal or Ginga training, bringing focused skill development alongside the benefits of group sessions.

From SDB Academy to Melbourne City. ⚽🔥

Davi Silva Borges joined SDB Academy at just six years old, spending four years developing his technical ability, confidence and understanding of the game.

From learning the fundamentals and embracing the original Ginga style to competing at his first national tournament on the Gold Coast, Davi’s journey has been built on hard work, consistency and a genuine love for football.

Now 13, Davi is taking the next step in his journey, playing as a CAM and Fixo in futsal for Melbourne City Football Club — with his sights firmly set on one day reaching an academy in Europe. 🇪🇺

One lesson from SDB has stayed with him along the way:

“Treat training how you treat a game.”

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in Davi’s development and can’t wait to see where his football journey takes him next. 💛⚽

Another SDB graduate showing what’s possible when talent meets dedication. 👏

⚽️ What makes coaching so rewarding?

Hear from one of our Head Coaches - Gui - as he shares what he loves most about coaching and helping young players develop their game.

For us, coaching goes beyond football skills - it’s about building confidence, encouraging creativity and helping players grow both on and off the pitch. 💙⚽️
