⚽️💚 A VERY SPECIAL TRAINING SESSION FOR OUR PORT FC GIRLS! 💚⚽️

Last Sunday, our Port FC Ladies and U14 Girls had the fantastic opportunity to train with former Matilda Tracie “Trae” McGovern! 🇦🇺⚽️

A local football success story, Trae grew up in Wauchope before going on to represent Australia as a Matilda in the late 1990s. She was also part of Australia’s Olympic training squad and spent time training full-time at the Australian Institute of Sport. (Wikipedia⁠)

It was an incredible opportunity for our players to learn from someone who has competed at the highest level of Australian women’s football. There were plenty of new skills learnt, lots of laughs and, most importantly, lots of fun! 🙌

A huge thank you to Trae for giving her time, sharing her knowledge and inspiring the next generation of female footballers here at Port FC. 💚⚽️

We’re sure this will be a training session our girls will remember for a long time! 🌟

Congratulations to our Port FC players who were part of the successful Mid North Coastal Academy squad, crowned Northern NSW Community State Champions on Friday! 🎉

The team went through the tournament undefeated, finishing with a fantastic 1–0 victory over Newcastle in the grand final.
