Congratulations Sawtell Public School!! 👏👏

A huge achievement from our school tennis team as they finished third in the state this week.

Congratulations to Lucy, Abby, Archie and Percy for their outstanding effort throughout the knockout competition. We would also like to thank Hudson for his effort in the state quarterfinal when Archie was injured.

After a semifinal loss to eventual winners, Gunnedah, the team overcame Kangaroo Valley PS in the third and fourth place playoff.

What an outstanding accomplishment from our students!

A huge congratulations to our school tennis team after a narrow win in the NSWPSSA Victor Kelly Cup against Newcastle school, New Lambton in the state quarter final.

This means we have qualified for the state semifinals at Homebush on the 31st of August, and guarantees a top 4 position in New South Wales.

It was a massive effort on the day from Lucy, Abby, Percy and Huddy. A special mention must go out to Year 4 student, Huddy for filling in so confidently for the injured Archie.

We are so proud of all students involved, and we wish them all the very best in Sydney!

What an amazing 4 days we had at the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival (NITC) recently in Darwin 🖤💛❤️

Congratulations to Noah, Oakley and Imogen Baylis on their selection to the NSW Team.

4 amazing days of culture, competitive showdown tennis, ball kid training, future stars and making new friends from every State and Territory, plus a couple of birthdays in there too!

Congratulations Oakley who was runner up in the 14’s Boys Showdown Singles and the One Point Slam and Runner up of the Showdown 14’s Doubles.

Eight participants (one from each State) received the Deadly Award. These players were nominated by supervisors and staff for their sportsmanship and leadership throughout the NITC. Congratulations Imogen who was presented this award for NSW! 👏👏

In the end NSW were crowned champions of the Ash Barty Cup, with Ash Barty herself presenting the winners their trophy!

Well done to all the Baylis Tennis Academy players that travelled to Caboolture over the weekend.
