🩡 Congratulations to Western Aquatic Swimming Club members Olive Charleson, Marley Hicks and Kateirha Young for their selection in the School Sport SA state 13-19 swim team. These ladies are exceptional competitors in the pool. πŸ’¦ On Friday night these two little ladies, Sophie & Emily R (11 & 9) represented us at the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre for the first meet of the Norwood Swimming Club Sprint Series.

They were up against a challenging 12&U age grouping. Sophie had her usual solid showing mixing it in the top-10, just off her best pace after a big week on school camp. While little sis Emily continued her consistent improvement with 3 more short course PBs.

I expect more of our swimmers will be looking forward to competing in the new Adelaide pool.

πŸ’¦πŸ©΅ On Saturday a small contingent represented our Western Aquatic Swimming Club at Immanuel's first meet of the short course season.

πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Corey (10) backed up after last weekend with another great personal performance. Whilst he wasn't in the medals this week, he continues to display consistent improvement with 4 out of 4 PBs.

πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Marley (15) also backed up, continuing to establish herself as a premier senior swimmer for the club. She charged to 3πŸ₯ˆ and 1πŸ₯‰ along with another PB in the 50 Free.

πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Angus R (10) is a little charger, getting his short course season off to a fantastic start, averaging 3.3 seconds improvement in 4 out of 4 PBs.

πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Oliver R (12) kicked it off much like his little bro, but averaging a whopping 5.7 seconds improvement in 4 out of 4 PBs, including a 15 second demolition of his 100 IM.

Sadly no photo of the team, clearly it was hard to catch them. They really have kick started short course season in a big way. Thanks Immanuel Piranhas Swimming Club for a great meet πŸ©΅πŸ’¦
