💦 Today six of our short course season regulars attended the MSC Short Course Carnival at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Angela swam close to her best all day, with a strong performance in the 100IM scoring a Mystery Skins invite
🏊🏻‍♂️ Eli K had 2 PBs and added the 100Br to his expanding event repertoire, with big sis and injured Breaststroke ace Ari cheering him on
🏊🏻‍♂️ Ryan had a PB and strong 4th in the 11-13M 50Br
🏊🏻‍♂️ Emily had 3 PBs, breaking into the top-10 in the 100Fs
🏊🏻‍♂️ Sophie had 3 PBs and a strong 5th in the 11-13W 100Fly
🏊🏻‍♂️ Meka had 3 PBs and strong 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th places in a huge field of almost forty 11-13W

Well done to our swimmers for the consistent development and improvement they display, week in and week out. Next stop: Immanuel. See you there 🩵💦

💦 It was a triple-decker of meets this weekend for our Western Aquatic swimmers, at Starplex on Saturday, Purruna on Sunday, and not to forget our ladies representing SA at the School Sport 13&O Championship in Melbourne.

⭐ Over in Melbourne, Olive, Marley & Kateirha kicked things off with the opening ceremony parade. Kat was the first to swim, with a 13s long course PB in the 200Bk. We'll be following their progress over the next few days of competition.

💦 It's almost time to dive back into the school books for our swimmers 😱 but seven still took the opportunity to compete at Swimming SA's Winter Waves on the last weekend of the school holidays. Part meet, part game, all party!

💦🩵 This weekend six of our swimmers competed across two meets 500km apart. Friday evening we were at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre for Meet 3 of the Norwood Sprint Series, and Saturday/Sunday on the road for the Mount Gambier SC Carnival at the impressive Wulanda Recreation Centre.

At the Norwood meet -

💦 It was a big weekend with our swimmers competing in two states. 12 competitors took to the Marion pool for Winter All In #2, and 1 travelled interstate to Mildura for the Sunraysia Short Course Open.

In Mildura, Harper (12) took 4x 1st and had her swim of the day in a 4x 50m relay, teaming with Vitor Renmark teen guns Sophie, Harper and Louis.

💦 On a lovely mild winter evening, a few more Western Aquatic Swimming Club families ventured into the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre for the 2nd round of Norwood's SC Sprint Series. Six more swimmers got to experience the new competition pool in a great atmosphere.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Meka (12) started off with a stylish PB in the 50 Fly, and finishing with 2 PBs and a 3rd place - she is developing into much more than a Breaststroke specialist.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Ashton (11) flexed his formidable guns starting out with a solid PB in the 50 Fly, and finishing with 2 PBs.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Isaac (10) had a brilliant meet with 3 PBs from 3 races, including a 9 second shattering of his 50 Back PB and breaking some big marks in his 50 Breast and 50 Free.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Harper (12) hadn't trained all week, but had a great PB in the 50 Breast, and only a few hundredths off her PB pace in the 50 Free.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Chloe (16) was so heartbreakingly close to her best all night, and was rewarded with a fantastic PB in the 50 Free.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Sophie S (14) started out with an almost 4 second hammering of her 50 Fly PB, and a few hundredths off her PB pace in the 50 Breast.

It is a true pleasure to watch and support these amazing kids and teens on their competitive swimming journey. And thanks to their parents for the great club camaraderie on the sidelines 🩵

💦 ⭐ Congratulation to our Western Aquatic Swimming Club swimmers who have achieved recognition through Swimming Australia's Pho3nix Junior Excellence (JX) program for their performances during the 2025-26 season (1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026).

Pho3nix JX recognition is broken down into Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue achievement levels based on qualifying times and number achieved.

❄️🌧️💦 It was a wet chilly day outdoors, but indoors The Rex pool was simmering at the Barossa Short Course Carnival. A fun meet with the wading pool available in between races, our Western Aquatic Swimming Club swimmers were about business and fun in equal parts.

🏊🏻‍♂️ Young Corey (10) was his usual gun self, racing 9 times for 7 PBs 1🥇1🥈2🥉

🏊🏻‍♂️ Pocket rocket Maddison (10), swam brilliantly for 4 PBs 1🥈1🥉(her first ever medals)

🏊🏻‍♂️ Breast specialist Angela (12) showed it's her strength with 2🥇 but displayed big improvement across the stroke spectrum with 2 PBs in Free and Fly

🏊🏻‍♂️ The brilliant Ella (12) was on fire, with 3 PBs including a 37 second demolition job in her 400 Free and 2🥈2🥉

🏊🏻‍♂️ And Kat (16) popped in for a quick fire 200 Back achieving a PB and🥈in an exciting finish with the Clover competitor
