This weekends Aussie Champs friendlies will wrap up with a mouth watering international warm up match!
With teams from all over the globe heading to the World Masters Champs ‘26 in KL, Malaysia, October this year, two of our own South East Queensland teams will go head to head in a practice match at 2:00pm, Malling St, Waterford!
Toowoomba Tridents will verse the Jimboomba Waterford Immortals in what can only be described as a “clash of the titans”!

🏏🏆Division 2 Grand Final🏆🏏
Any Chance v Sindh Strikers!
Sindh Strikers would bat first, and Ibtisam Abro 57 (46) would anchor the innings while two inform, top order batters were dismissed early before Zaki Abro 39 (20) provided momentum and the fireworks late in the innings, including four sixes, to lead the tail to post 7/128 from their 20.
Any Chance's bowling attack was led by Josh Sandnes 3/23 (4.0) and Nathan Smith 3/14 (4.0), who combined for six wickets to keep the target within reach.
In reply, Any Chance lost a wicket early before Travis Marshall 44 (30) teamed up with Matthew Quinn 50* (25), who belted 10 fours and a massive 6 between them to give the team the perfect platform for Corey Parkinson 21* (10) to finish the job in style with two sixes.
His late assault, capped off a fantastic chase securing the victory, chasing down Sindh Strikers target, and taking out the LMS Beaudesert & Jimboomba 2026 Winter Smash Division 2 Championship title!

Any Chance v Bucheurs S.C.
Bucheurs S.C. would bat first and as Robbie Young 41 (33) anchored, the Bucheurs lost 3 wickets in a top order collapse before Daniel Lake 50* (35) produced the momentum, including 1 four and 2 sixes, while Shaun Nolan 18* (13) led the tail to post 5/130 from their 20.
Any Chance's bowlers kept things tight early, with Matthew Crone starring with 3/13 from his 4 overs, while Josh Sandnes and Bryse Mcelhinney picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Kaiden Smith anchored the chase with 50 (39), striking 4 fours and a six before Shayne Norton 25 (16) provided the late fireworks as Daniel Archer 21* (13) produced a remarkable switch hit for four to bring up the winning runs and remained unbeaten to see Any Chance home.
Bucheurs fought hard with the ball, with Jamie Braithwaite taking 3/19, supported by Damien Milsom (1/21), Sunny Dhillon (1/32) and Robbie Young (2/23).
A fantastic chase and a nail-biting finish as Any Chance chased down 131 4 balls to spare, finishing 132/7 in 19.1 overs to book their place in the Grand Final!

Sindh Strikers v Horn’s Hitters
Sindh Strikers would bat first and after losing two quick wickets, Ibtisam Abro 21 (18) and Safdar Khan 39 (25) steadied the innings before Zaki Abro 25 (11) and Sarim Ahmed 25 (15) aggressively raised the run rate with 3 fours and 3 sixes between them to lay the foundation for Ravail Ahmed to add a rapid 16 off just 6 balls to bring the total up to 8/156.
Rhyse Hadland 3/22 (4.0) was the pick of the bowlers while Shane Schurmann and Jason Feeney both picked up 2 wickets a piece.
In reply, Rhyse Hadland 58* (34) produced a brilliant knock, while Nick Gealy 51* (19) absolutely exploded, blasting 4 sixes, at a phenomenal 268.42 strike rate to have the team’s neck and neck leading into the final over and ensuring the chase went right down to the wire!
In a genuine last ball LMS thriller, Horn’s Hitters have gone down by just 1 run after an incredible chase against Sindh Strikers!
WHAT A FINISH! Sindh Strikers hold on to win by 1 run and book a place in the Grand Final!

The 2nd XI v The Nite Watchmen
The Nite Watchmen would bat first and after losing a wicket on the first ball of the innings, Jackson Larkins 29 (32) and Trent Spring 11 (16) steadied the innings. Patrick Hansen added 15, before Tom Harrison smashed 32 from just 22 balls, including 3 fours and a six, to push the Nite Watchmen a total up to a below par, yet defendable total of 7/107 from their 20.
Marty Henderson was the pick of the bowlers, producing an excellent 3/14 from 4 overs, while Michael Blight claimed 2/15 from his 4.
Chasing 107, the 2nd XI were facing a low target however, with the Nite Watchmen’s star-studded bowling attack, was never going to be a walk in the park. Adi Dhadwal 36 (33) anchored the innings while wickets fell regularly before Michael Hawkins 18 (16) was joined by Marty Henderson 24* (10) who exploded with aggressive cricket shots, smashing 3 fours and a six at a strike rate of 240.00. His late assault, capped off a fantastic chase securing another thrilling victory, chasing down The Nite Watchmen and taking out the LMS Beaudesert & Jimboomba 2026 Winter Smash Division 1 Championship title!

The 2nd XI V Duck Duck Gone
The 2nd XI would bat first and openers Amit Dhadwal 23 (15) and Michael Hawkins 53* (33) got the team off to a solid start before Marty Henderson 50 (25) went areal in a blistering captains knock blasting 6 fours and 2 sixes, striking at an incredible 200.00 taking the target to a formidable total on a tricky turf deck posting 3/169 from their 20.
Duck Duck Gone's chase started cautiously before losing 3 quick wickets. Matt Fielding 34 (24) in a true captains knock teamed up with Jason Hart 23 (28) and then Josh Foenander to give the team momentum and provide late resistance however, the required run rate increased to sharply and finished on 5/133 from their 20, falling 36 runs short.
The 2nd XI's bowling attack was led brilliantly by Martin Henderson 2/14 (4.0) and Adam Hyman 1/16 (4.0), while Michael Blight chipped in with 1/9 from 2, booking their place in the Division 1 Final!

The Nite Watchmen v Band O’ Brothers
Band O’ Brothers would bat first and after a wicket falling on the first ball of the game, Kevin Cox 29 (18) teamed up with Brian Murphy 13 (09) to steady the innings before Matthew Quinn 66 (50) produced a brilliant semifinal knock that included 5 fours and 2 sixes and support the tail to bring the total to a defendable 8/139 from their 20.
Dylan Hogan 2/17 (4.0) and Michael Baillie 2/19 (4.0) were the pick of the bowlers.
The Nite Watchmen’s chase was anything but straightforward. After losing 3 wickets within the first 5 overs, Patrick Hansen 19 (16) and Michael Baillie 20 (13) fought hard to get the team back on top before Caleb Szegfu 40 (22) launched a sensational counterattack, smashing 2 fours and 2 sixes and kept his composure guiding the Nite Watchmen to 7/140 in 18.3 overs, sealing the vitory.
Corey Parkinson was outstanding with the ball, ripping through the Nite Watchmen batting order with 4/12 from 3.3 overs in a player of the match finals performance.
But despite Kuzzo’s incredible spell, Nite Watchmen have pulled off a thrilling 3-wicket victory over Band O’ Brothers!
