Wodonga Amateur Swimming Club

Congratulations to our team of swimmers who travelled to Traralgon last week to join the cohort of 34 clubs from regional Victoria to compete at the Victorian SC Country Championships. An amazing 78% of their swims resulting in pbs and 2 super fun relays across 2 days, everyone certainly rose to the occasion. The WASC team showed the camaraderie and spirit that we have come to expect and we are extremely proud of them all.

Huge thanks to Coach Charlie for accompanying them and doing what she does best. Thanks also to the support crew for the transport, cheering & the endless supply of food. We all know the swimmers couldn't do it without you.

Congratulations to our life member, Don Alchin, for being recognised for his contribution to the swimming community over many years. Thankyou for everything you have done and continue to do.

Another fantastic weekend of swimming as a small group of our senior swimmers took a foray into the Masters Swim Vic State Championships. Some great PBs, bling to bring home and loads of fun. This event demonstrates that swimming really is a life long skill. What a privilege to watch a 96 yr old swimmer do an 8 second PB!! Something to aspire to.
