2027 IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!📣📣
QUEENSLAND FOOTBALL CLUBS ARE UNITED
Following a recent announcement from Football Queensland regarding increased fees from 2027, more than 70 clubs have come together with one clear message: major decisions affecting players, families, volunteers and community clubs must be transparent, properly explained and developed through genuine consultation.
Clubs may represent different communities, regions and competitions, but we are united in asking Football Queensland to:
⚽ Pause the proposed 2027 Competition Access Fee model
⚽ Pause the current Affiliation Agreement process
⚽ Provide full financial transparency
⚽ Consult meaningfully with all clubs in Queensland
⚽ Work with clubs toward a fair and sustainable way forward
This united stand is not about resisting change. It is about ensuring that change is reasonable, properly planned and does not place unfair costs, risks or administrative burdens on families and volunteer-run clubs.
Woombye Snakes FC remains committed to working constructively with Football Queensland for the benefit of everyone involved in our game.
Together, our clubs are stronger. Together, our voices must be heard.
