“There is no hiding in a situation like that.”

Cormac Nisbet came to Challenge Gdańsk wanting to find out where he stood in the professional field.

But the race didn’t give him the performance he had hoped for.

Struggling with the heat, Cormac wasn’t able to race at the level he knew he was capable of.

And when things don’t go to plan, there is nowhere to hide.

For an athlete at the beginning of a new professional chapter, that is part of the process too. Racing, learning, adapting, and then coming back with a better understanding of what it takes.

We followed Classified Collective athlete Cormac Nisbet through his race at Challenge Gdańsk.

After earning his professional triathlon license earlier this year, Challenge Gdańsk gave Cormac Nisbet the opportunity to find out where he stood in a professional field.

For Cormac, triathlon is a new chapter, but also not an entirely new beginning.

Coming from a running background before pursuing cycling, and racing for the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team in 2024, the move into triathlon brought different parts of his athletic background together.

Now the question is: how far can he take it?

We followed Classified Collective athlete Cormac Nisbet to Challenge Gdańsk for one of his first benchmarks as a professional triathlete.
